Why Kyle Richards Agreed to Film Buying Beverly Hills Amid Separation

It’s still shocking to know that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky aren’t on the same page as a couple. The news of their marital difficulties really shocked us all. The last season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills featured a lot of their story, including a tense conversation they had with their children. However, Bravo isn’t the only network showcasing the couple’s journey. Netflix also had dibs on filming their ups and downs, and thankfully for us, they aired it during Season 2 of Buying Beverly Hills. In the past, Mo shared why he let the cameras in, but now it’s Kyle’s turn.

When Kyle caught up with Us Weekly, she told the publication about why she filmed Season 2 of Mo’s Netflix series.

“I obviously want the best for him and my daughters,” she said. “I made a point to show up to support them this season — we had to work that out between the two networks. They have been showing up for years on Bravo.”

Later, the actor said she noticed her daughters picked up a few things from watching her do her thing for so many years. “To see them soar and learn from my mistakes on the show,” she began … “just seeing them be true to themselves makes [me] so proud.”

Mauricio wanted to be honest about his marital struggles for the audience

Mo opened up about filming Season 2 of his show amid his marital struggles in March 2024. Although it wasn’t in the cards for him to be a reality star, he turned into one by way of his wife. Because of that, he knows the watchers want to see them be honest.

As for Mo’s “challenges” with Kyle, the real estate mogul said there was no way to hide them. “… it was real life,” he said.

“I think that would’ve been awkward on television.”

“The reality is that we are going through our issues after being married for 28, 29 years. We did it, and we chose to put it on camera, and it was great, and now the audience gets to see the way that we interacted with each other.”
