Kandi Burruss is known for her “don’t start none, won’t be none” attitude. But the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star seems to have a different take when it comes to Kenya Moore.
On June 10th, Kenya was suspended from RHOA after allegedly sharing a sexually graphic picture of newbie Brittany Eady. The incident was filmed for one of her haircare events.
But Kandi, who announced that she was leaving the franchise in February, has come to Kenya’s defense.
Is this hypocritical?
During a recent appearance on the Yung Joc & The Streetz Morning Takeover radio show, Kandi made her position clear.
“I don’t like the fact that they suspended Kenya,” the Grammy winner stated. “I know a lot of people are like, ‘She shouldn’t have shown that,’ but this is ‘Housewives.’”
“How many times we done did something that you think somebody shouldn’t do? So, who made the rules?” Kandi asked. “Why y’all all of a sudden have such an issue with somebody doing something crazy to somebody?” Um, Phaedra Parks has entered the chat…
Kenya maintains she “stays winning”
After audio of Kenya calling Brittany an “escort” leaked, Kenya took to social media to deny the revenge porn allegations.
“I would never engage in revenge porn, I have never distributed private images or footage of anyone, nor solicited images owned by others to use to threaten or blackmail,” Kenya tweeted.
Despite her suspension, the former Miss USA stood her ground on an Instagram Live last week. “I stay winning. It is in my blood. Success matriculates around me. So I accept that. God has given me that,” she stated.
For her part, Brittany has mostly stayed mum on the drama, only taking to social media to deny allegations that she threatened Kenya with a gun.
“I’ve never been to jail, in a fight, or even had as much as a speeding ticket. That’s not my character,” Brittany wrote on Instagram Stories. The insurance agent added that she “never once had possession of any weapons or threatened anyone ever.”
