Welcome back to GOAT Manor. We’re getting down to the wire, and with another reality star eliminated from the competition, things are starting to get messy.
Da’Vonne has run the game since Episode 1, sending some of her biggest adversaries packing. Last week, she was the mastermind behind CJ’s elimination, which, for her, was the only way she could make it to the end.
The Big Brother star still has a few people in her corner, like Jill from Bravo. She’s also tight with Joe from The Bachelor and Paola from 90 Day Fiance. However, with things coming to an end soon, somebody will have to make a move. It’s prey or be preyed. Here’s everything that went down on The GOAT, Episode 9: The Thinning of the Herd.
Who is The Goat in Episode 9?
Before this episode’s GOAT challenge started, Da’Vonne started making her rounds. She needed to make sure her ducks (Joe, Jill, and Jason) were in order. One of them had to win the competition; otherwise, she wouldn’t survive to see another day.
Pao told Jason that she planned to gun for Da’Vonne. It’s not that she doesn’t like her; Pao just understands that if she doesn’t win the challenge, Da’Vonne will likely make it to the finale and win.
When the cast met Daniel Tosh outside, he explained the rules of the competition. The remaining players would hold an orange to a piece of plexiglass. After he gives the cue, they would then need to lower the orange to the next marker, essentially getting lower and lower. The only gag is… they can’t use their hands. Yep. Da’Vonne, Jill, Jason, Pao, and Joe had to maneuver their piece of fruit with only their mouth.
As you can imagine, the pain was REAL. After 20 minutes, Da’Vonne started struggling, and when she moved her orange to the final marker, The Challenge star had to drop out. Joe was eliminated second, followed by Jill and then Jason.
What I’m saying is that Paola finally won something. All of that crying, complaining, and playing the victim worked in her favor in this episode. Since she won, she had to nominate one of the remaining players for elimination. Unsurprisingly, she chose Day. But will she be able to execute her plan? If she knows anything about Da’Vonne, she won’t go down without a fight.
The elimination challenge details…
With Da’Vonne on the block, this elimination challenge is everything for her. Unfortunately, it’s not a Hall Brawl or one of those other challenges she’s been able to beast through on The Challenge. This time, she has to deal with animals. Farm animals, to be exact.
Tosh explained to the players that they had to rally a bunch of wild goats with icons on their collars into the proper sheds. Whoever could do it in the shortest amount of time would win and be safe from elimination.
Although everybody competed, it came down to Jason and Da’Vonne. They had the two best times, and Jason won by a mere 17 seconds. So, unfortunately for Day, she must remain on the block next to the competition’s loser, Joe. Will she be able to pull herself out of the mess she’s in? Keep reading to find out.
Who went home in The GOAT Episode 9?
Da’Vonne Rogers was the 10th reality star eliminated from The GOAT Season 1.
She tried, y’all. And she came so close. But as the GOAT gods would have it, Da’Vonne was eliminated from the series. The reality star had a chance to stay; with her and Jill’s votes combined, she only needed Jason, her ally, to vote in her favor. However, Jason used his brain (can’t blame him) and voted to send her home. The truth is, Day outplayed everybody, which is why you had salty contestants like CJ throw her under the bus the way Dan Gheesling did Phaedra Parks in The Traitors. Had Da’Vonne made it to the finale, she would’ve won the whole thing. When she was leaving, she discussed her legacy on the show, saying she was proud of the moves she’s made. “The narrative will always be, ‘Yeah, such and such won. But Da’Vonne played [one] hell of a game,'” she said.
