RHODubai’s Lesa Milan Admits She Was ‘Wrong’ About ‘Strong Friendship’ With Chanel Ayan

Lesa Milan experienced a lot during the second season of Real Housewives of Dubai. In addition to welcoming in newcomer Taleen Marie and taking her business, Mina Roe, to new heights, she also hit a rough patch. The reality star, who was thick as thieves with her co-star Chanel Ayan, experienced the reality TV friendship curse. NeNe Leakes and Cynthia Bailey went through it. And so did Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson. After this season’s tension and massive blowups, the former besties have taken time apart from each other. But could they get back to where they were?

Prior to the beginning of the season, watchers knew that Chanel and Lesa went through something difficult while filming. Caroline Brooks hinted at it in October 2023. “Nobody is ganging up on Lesa Milan,” she wrote online, referencing Lesa’s social media break. “She took a break from social media because she wants to for her own reasons.”

The trailer also teased something explosive. “My friendship with you is over,” Chanel told Lesa before the latter replied, “This show is not worth it for me.”

In a chat with Decider, Lesa said she was open to rebuilding her friendship with Ayan, but it would take intentionality and time. “I feel like we need to have a conversation,” she said. “… we need to take accountability, whoever’s wrong.”

She continued, saying she would “never say never” because her relationship with Chanel was genuine. “I genuinely did love her, and it was a real friendship,” she said. “… it would be really sad to just throw away all those years of friendship over a TV show because these are our real, real lives.”

“So I’ll never say never, but I’ll say right now, I’m OK. I’m good where I’m at.”

Elsewhere, Lesa said she thought she had a “strong friendship” with Ayan but learned she was “wrong” as the season progressed. “… we’re gonna see a lot of this stuff play out and I don’t want to ruin it for the viewers.”

Real Housewives of Dubai continues on Tuesdays at 9/8c.
