The Traitors and Ariana Madix Win Big at Critics Choice Real TV Awards

If I were Bravo, I would invest big time into The Traitors and Ariana Madix given the recent Critics Choice Real TV Awards. And even though that award title is a mouthful, it’s a pretty big deal.

Even though Vanderpump Rules Season 11 left a shaky impression on fans, the show still has something to offer. What might the show be without Ariana? Who can say? But for now, Bravo had better do its best to keep her around.

Moreover, The Traitors’ wide appeal was already proven thanks to its successful international runs. The U.S. interpretation proved to stand among the successful versions, in no small part thanks to Alan Cumming. Read on to see the biggest reality wins of the night.

Big wins for Drag Race, The Traitors, and Ariana

The Critics Choice Real TV Awards featured some sweet, satisfying wins for certain reality TV stars, as per The Hollywood Reporter. The Traitors and RuPaul’s Drag Race walked into the awards with the most nominations – five a piece. However, only one walked away with four awards, and that was The Traitors.

Some of the big wins included best competition series and best ensemble cast in an unscripted series. Alam Cumming also walked away with two well-earned rewards. For The Traitors, he won Best Show Host and Male Star of the Year. But don’t fret Drag Race fans.

Not only did Drag Race win Best Lifestyle Show: fashion/beauty, but some former Drag Race stars also received a nod. HBO’s We’re Here walked away with the award for best-structured show. And, of course, the queen herself, Ariana Madix, took home the award for Female Star of the Year.

At last year’s awards, The Traitors was nominated for best competition series but ultimately lost out to Survivor. Meanwhile, Vanderpump Rules won Best Unstructured Series in 2023. But this year, Ariana was the sole VPR star to receive a win.
