Aesha Scott Doesn’t Want Captain Sandy To Officiate Her Wedding

Aesha Scott and Captain Sandy Yawn are professionally reuniting on Season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean. The New Zealand native is a hot commodity, starring on both the Med spinoff and Below Deck Down Under as Chief Stew. But Sandy was able to get the highly-skilled yachtie back in the Mediterranean.

So as the new season premieres, it will be great to see their camaraderie and mutual respect for one another.

But how are they on a personal level? With Aesha newly engaged to her boyfriend of four years, Scott Dobson, fans were curious as to whether Captain Sandy would be officiating the wedding.

Aesha would “love” to have Sandy “watch” the wedding

Aesha exclusively spoke to E! News about the wedding plans, and revealed whether Sandy will be attending as an officiant or guest.

“We want to have a long engagement because it’s fun saying ‘fiancé.’ Then, with this global tribe, I want to give people enough time to save and really turn it into a holiday, because we want to get married in New Zealand,” the reality TV star said.

Aesha gushed about Scott’s “amazing” and “so beautiful” beachside proposal. The duo were back in the Bravolebrity’s native New Zealand when Scott got down on one knee. And it turns out that Scott putting a ring on it has made their time apart all the more challenging.

“It’s kind of turned me into a more regular person in terms of relationships,” Aesha explained. “Because, ever since Scott and I first started dating, I’ve spent six months of the year apart from him. So, we’ve done a lot of long distance, it’s never bothered me at all before.”

She added, “Ever since we got engaged, I’ll be away from him for like two days and I’m like, ‘Oh, I miss my man!’ I just feel so in love with him. It’s a really cool feeling.”

Finally, Aesha addressed whether she would ask Sandy to officiate her wedding.

“I wouldn’t have her officiate my wedding because, we’re close, but we’re not close enough that I’d give her that honor,” Aesha said. “But she will definitely be invited, I would love her to watch it.”

The veteran Bravolebrity attended Captain Sandy’s wedding to long-time love Leah Shafer on May 11, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
