On the recent episode of Summer House, Kyle Cooke got some business advice from Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller. Kyle was fighting with his wife, Amanda Batula, on her desires to use her creative branding on her own project.
Kyle was neither supportive, nor positive on the matter and seemingly spiraled into an emotional funk. Meanwhile, Amanda felt unheard, and it took the words of her two friends to get through to the entrepreneur.
Kyle wanted to have “saved the day” to support Amanda
Kyle revealed the concerning financial report of his company during the Summer House After Show. The data was relevant for the Summer of 2023, and gave a reason for why he reacted the way he did when Amanda told him she wanted to walk away from Loverboy.
“You know, last year we lost almost $3 million,” Kyle revealed. “When I was trying to open up about the challenges of running a startup, the advice that [Paige DeSorbo and Ciara Miller] gave me was ‘Kyle, why don’t you just pull the plug?'”
On the After Show, he admitted that, though he seemed harsh, he needed to be realistic about the situation.
“I would’ve loved to have just had the wherewithal to be like ‘absolutely, I’d love to support you.’ That would’ve saved the day. But that would’ve mean that she’s heard nothing of the reality of the situation that we’re in with Loverboy. We need things to click right now more than ever,” Kyle explained.
Amanda wanted Kyle to “reciprocate” and help her with the business side of starting a company
During last week’s episode of Summer House, Kyle divulged the info to Amanda in a conversation filmed for the hit reality TV series.
“Nick just filled me in that we lost $1.5 million the first six months of this year,” Kyle explained in the clip. “If we can’t turn a profit in August, then I’m starting to lose hope that we’ll do it in the colder months. This is the first time I’m actually scared.”
And during the After Show, Amanda explained exactly why Kyle support would have mattered so much to her.
“I want him to be involved in it in some way because he is such a good business man, he is such a good entrepreneur. I’d be able to benefit from him helping me out so much. And a part of me is like, ‘I helped you with the creative side, getting your brand off the ground. Can you reciprocate that a little bit and help with with the business side and kick off something I want to do?'” she said.
