The Valley Episode 10 Recap: Babymoon Mayhem

Welcome back to The Valley Episode 10 recap, “Babymoon Mayhem.” In last week’s episode, fans watched as the group, minus Kristen and Zack, ventured out to Big Bear. Brittany got carsick along the way, per usual, and Jesse acted a fool. The father of one drank a bit too much on the beach resulting in a pretend karate fight with his wife. Sadly, Michelle was caught in the crossfire and was smacked in her newly-done nose. Our Kentucky princess was sent a video of Cruz crying, and instead of empathizing with his wife, Jax yelled at her to turn it off. Needless to say, we needed Smokey the Bear to keep the flare-ups at bay.

Jesse knows

Last week’s episode left us on a cliffhanger as Michelle seemingly admitted to texting other men. This episode opens with Michelle explaining that Jesse knows she talks to other people. The mother of one revealed she gets very excited when she meets famous people and is known to go for coffee. But Jax is onto the game and jokes in his confessional, “I honestly don’t know the real estate world. I know you have to talk to a lot of different people. But I don’t understand why you need to send sexy pics to sell a house. When I bought my house, I didn’t get any sexy pictures.” Jax, for once, isn’t wrong in his line of thinking.

The #1 Worst Husband in the group

Jax quickly reminds us why he is the worst husband on Bravo when he is caught berating Brittany for once again throwing up. Britt Britt shouts from the rooftop, “I am not drunk. I have not been drunk.” Jax keeps telling her she is a liar. Brittany is a lot of things — sometimes a pushover and cover-up artist for Jax — but a liar she isn’t.

Jax tries to explain that he has been dealing with this for the last nine years, thinking she would slow down. While the group is scoffing down burgers, the girls ask if he has checked on Brittany. In a pretty callous move, the father of one said, “Let her deal with it herself.” Even though every other wife noted that B hadn’t had a sip of alcohol, Jax insisted she was somehow drunk. B was over the gaslighting and managed to pull herself from her sick bed to cuss him the hell out. It was glorious.

Zack’s revenge

Even though Zack wasn’t invited on the babymoon he made his presence known. In a thirst trap for the ages, the upset friend posted an Instagram Story of a black screen with a location notice saying he was in Big Bear.

Obviously, Janet was less than thrilled about the possibility of Zack showing up at her rental. The mother-to-be told Brittany that the “hairs on the back of my neck went up.” She went on to share that she questioned if he was here and had brought Kristen too. But surely these two have way better things to do than crash a baby shower. Jasmine, who seems to call it as she sees it, admits the move is childish but nothing but “trolling.”

It turns out Kristen and Zack did have much more pressing events, and it included an at-home foot spa. Kristen seems to be putting a positive spin on not being invited which included gift bags and a smile. Bless Zack, who doesn’t miss a beat noting, “It’s a sh*t talking day. Let’s be real. I’m not on this trip. She’s not on this trip. We are just going to be focusing it on her, who shall not be named.” Now, I wasn’t a fan of Zack before, but he has grown on me in these last two episodes thanks to his snarky confessionals.

The guys gets emotional

Jesse has been on a rollercoaster of a ride when it comes to his marriage. And while surrounded by fire and smores, he decided to unburden himself. But before he could open up he had to have a talk with Danny, who he wronged in the car only hours earlier.

Danny, who is clearly sleep-deprived, noted that he “doesn’t have thick skin when it comes to friendships and brotherhood.” Jesse can see his friend is struggling, adding, “You’re an amazing man.” It’s at this point Danny has a full weeping session noting, “I’m up every two hours changing diapers and putting kids on boobs. I do it all.”

The Daddy Day Care gang pushes on, asking if he thinks Nia respects him. Danny pauses but says, “I do, but I feel like…” Jesse interrupts him to say, “But they never do,” and Danny says, “Yeah.”

The book of revelations

My mind was blown here! Danny goes on to state, “It’s a different time, you know what I mean. Women just expect different things. I’m going through the same thing.” Jax interjects, sharing he isn’t sure he wants to even have another kid. Jesse noted that he wants a second child, but Michelle has said no. The rest of the men look on with puppy dog eyes as Jesse shares, “It really sucks. I’m trying so hard. I think we’re done. Me and Michelle.”

As the cameras panned to Michelle cooking in the kitchen, Jesse laments, “I don’t want my marriage to be over. Can you imagine being 43 years old, single, and raising a daughter? It’s a lot to take in.”

As the episode ends, the guys are fishing on a boat but catch more than they bargained for when their marriages are brought up. As the truth comes out, Jason is sitting there, clearly thinking, “What have I gotten myself into?”

The Valley continues Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
