Summer House Season 8 has introduced viewers to two newbies that they can’t get enough of. In addition to West Wilson, the sports writer who has something sweet going on with Ciara Miller, the incomparable Jesse Solomon has won people over, too.
Despite most of his scenes being about wanting to hook up, calling girls over, and then sending them packing in an Uber, he’s also gotten vulnerable on camera about his personal life. He told his castmates during the earlier episodes that he’d been cancer-free for several years and that his five-year check-up was approaching.
In the latest episode, he had a moment with West outside, where he confided in his friend about his fears.
Jesse’s Summer House Season 8 meltdown wasn’t as bad as he thought it’d be
In an interview with Us Weekly, Jesse told them that things got “super real” outside of the house with West. However, watching it on television wasn’t “as bad as I thought,” he said.
“I was really scared because West and I were outside and I was bawling for a long time,” he explained. “To see it just condensed down into a few seconds was not so bad.”
The reality star had an emotional moment after revealing he’d “felt something on my nut.” In his confessional with producers, he said it’s “not in my nature to be vulnerable.” He continued, “I’m trying not to let it get me down but obviously, it’s all I can think about.”
Thankfully, West was there to console Jesse during that difficult moment. “I would’ve held it in if I could have, but I think just there was emotions. When you bottle them up, sometimes they spill over,” Jesse added before saying his appointment was fine.
“You’ll see on the show what happens, but I found something, the doctor found another thing,” Jesse revealed. “I really thought I was f*cked.”
Summer House continues on Thursdays at 9/8c.
