Summer House star Lindsay Hubbard celebrated her (ill-fated) upcoming wedding with a bridal shower in her honor in August 2023.
Many of her current and former castmates were in attendance. Danielle Olivera, Ciara Miller, Samantha “Sam” Feher, Gabby Prescod, and Amanda Batula were all present.
But where was Paige DeSorbo? Even though Lindsay and Paige aren’t that close, why wasn’t Paige at the party?
Paige explains it all
In the May 2 episode of Summer House, Paige explained why she chose to skip Lindsay’s bridal shower. During their drive to the Hamptons, Paige asked Ciara how Lindsay’s shower was. Ciara simply said it was “very cute.”
In a production confessional, Paige explained her absence at the fancy do. “Lindsay, what an olive branch to invite me to your bridal shower,” she said. “I don’t take it lightly. I feel a very big shift in Lindsay’s attitude and demeanor toward everyone … Dare I say, she’s being very nice.”
“But excuse me, Ms. Manners,” she added, “I’m not going to someone’s bridal shower that I’m not invited to the wedding. Come on.”
What did Paige miss?
Lindsay’s shower took place at Cathédrale Restaurant in New York City’s Moxy East Village hotel. At the time, Lindsay shared with People why the venue was the perfect setting for her garden party theme.
“It has so much greenery, it’s almost like this greenhouse within the restaurant,” she gushed. “It is just such a beautiful venue. The theme just sort of matches the location.”
Lindsay looked bridal in a white pleated minidress with a cinched waist. She completed the look with Steve Madden shoes and Nicole Rose jewelry.
No cost was spared on the food. Even though Gabby and Sam jokingly split a breadstick, Amanda enjoyed a savory snack. “Potato chip with caviar is the best combination ever,” she said, reminding me of Erin Lichy serving the Real Housewives of New York ladies caviar on Pringles in her Hamptons home.
All bets were off when the truffle-topped pasta came out. “Let’s f*cking go!” Amanda exclaimed, digging in.
