Deal or No Deal Island Episode 11 Recap: Finale Part 1

Welcome back! Let’s get right into the Deal or No Deal Island Episode 11 recap. Last time, Amy selected Aron to play against the Banker. Aron made a bad deal and was eliminated. This week’s episode, “Are You Tenacious?” features the most difficult challenge for the players thus far. Here’s everything you need to know about Deal or No Deal Island Episode 11!

Dealing with Aron’s elimination

At camp after Aron’s elimination, Stephanie didn’t feel bad about Aron. Instead, she was elated that she was in the final four. If she wins, she wants to open a birth center in Alabama.

Amy was also hoping to be the last one standing. Winning that money would make a huge difference in her family’s life. But Rob sat by himself, feeling sad about Aron’s departure. Rob wants “retribution,” and he won’t be satisfied until he wins.

Some surprises from the Banker

The next morning, the group was surprised by a lavish breakfast spread, including eggs benedict, lobster, cheeses, and fruit. And, as they ate, they spent some quality bonding time. No fighting or sarcastic comments.

The group discussed their motivations. Rob explained that he wanted to see if he could still play the game. He added that he tells his four daughters that they can do anything they want if they try. He wants to be an example for them.

Jordan’s motivation for joining the show is to start a family. The options that are available for her, like IVF or adoption, are extremely expensive.

Suddenly, they heard a helicopter. Ben was sitting inside, and he tossed a case into the ocean below. Rob swam out to retrieve it.

Inside the case was a message. “Congratulations on reaching the final four. It’s an accomplishment worth celebrating. But brace yourselves, because my ultimate test awaits.” It was signed, “The Banker.” Yikes! The Banker loves to spoil a relaxing moment.

The case started a conversation about the Banker’s identity. Could it be Kamari or Ben? The group shot down that theory. Or maybe Joe? There were so many questions about what could happen next.

Meanwhile, the Banker’s helicopter touched down, as Joe and Kamari waited. As the Banker approached, with his face hidden from the camera, Joe announced that tonight the Banker would meet his opponent. I have a theory about who the Banker is, but I’ll keep it to myself for now.

The best-laid plans

Jordan, Amy, and Stephanie were the last three women, and Night Owls, standing. They all agreed that Rob is experienced at games like this and needs to go home.

When Amy left for a moment, Stephanie asked Jordan if she had considered who she would bring to the final two. Stephanie asked Jordan to pick her if she had the opportunity. Although Jordan agrees, she still doesn’t trust Stephanie. Still, she would rather compete against Stephanie in the final two than Amy.

Instead of going to her tent, Amy made a deal with Rob. She swore on her necklace, which represents her family. Amy pledged to take Rob to the end if she had a choice. “It’s about time. From the beginning I’ve been trying,” Rob said. Amy planned to take Rob to the final two and then beat him.

A creepy challenge

The next excursion will test the competitors’ determination. There are unmarked cases inside a giant maze that looks incredibly creepy. There are two locations in the maze where the cases are hidden. One area has high-value cases, while the other has low-value cases. Of course, the cases with the highest values are more difficult to reach. And that means that a contestant could be at risk of exiting the maze last.

The competitors must earn a map by answering one question. The answer is a two-digit number, and the guests will use tiles to answer the question. When their answer is correct, the map will pop out.

Inside the maze, the players must swap their maps for keys to unlock the cases. Next, the contestants will find their way back to the cases by memory. And the Banker has just ratcheted up the tension. The last player to return from the maze will be eliminated, as will the guest with the lowest value case.

One player breaks the rules

Then Joe hits the players with the question. “How many total retrieved cases have been put on the board at the Banker’s Temple?” Rob was counting to himself, while Jordan was drawing in the sand.

The answer was 75, and Amy scored her map. Inside the maze, she was targeting a low-value case. Amy wasn’t a fast runner and wanted to get back as soon as possible.

Then, Rob moved over and looked at Amy’s podium for the answer. Joe halted the competition immediately. Rob thought it was fine to look at another contestant’s table, but Joe told him it was not. That was one of the rules that Joe gave at the start of the excursion. What are you doing, Rob?

Now Rob will enter the maze last with a time penalty. Wow. I thought he would be eliminated. Rob told Stephanie and Jordan that he thought it was allowed. It was acceptable in Survivor. So, Rob has only himself to blame. He reluctantly accepted his punishment.

Jordan and Stephanie resume the number challenge, while Amy decided that she now has time to get a high-value case. Stephanie solved the puzzle next. Rob’s time penalty of three minutes will begin when Jordan enters the maze.

The Banker, in his quest to make this task even more fun, has left groups of hurdles and a spiderweb of ropes to crawl through. Good times!

Stephanie reached the high-value cases, but she had no key. She headed back over the 10 hurdles. Poor Amy was exhausted by that rope maze. Finally, Jordan got her map, and she ran into the maze. She ran passed Stephanie, and now Stephanie was following Jordan.

Amy finally reached Ben and Kamari. She has the keys, but now where are the cases?

The maze continues to confuse the players

This maze looks extremely difficult and confusing. Amy passed Stephanie and Jordan on her way back. She directed them to a dead-end. Wow.

Finally, Rob headed into the maze. Stephanie and Jordan both reached Kamari and Ben and obtained their keys. Rob ran passed the other players on their way back. Stephanie lost Jordan, so she has no idea where she is without her map.

Rob reached Ben and Kamari, sampled some iced tea, and turned in his map. He is cruising through the maze. Jordan was the first to reach the highest cases. She picked the fourth case because it reminded her of her husband and her two dogs. Right now they are a family of four.

Now it’s Rob’s turn to be lost without the map. His situation looks bleak. Stephanie and Amy were headed to the high-value cases. Stephanie chose case number two. Then Amy, who is struggling, selected case number three because she has three kids.

Jordan was the first one back. Rob passed Amy coming back from the cases. She told him that there were only three cases and that none were left. So sneaky, Amy! He didn’t believe her and told her that she was lying.

Then Stephanie was the second guest to escape the maze and lock in her case. Meanwhile, Rob grabbed the final high-value case and it was a race between him and Amy to exit the maze.

Right before the episode ends, someone is nearing the exit. But who? Then the words that we all dread. TO BE CONTINUED!

Deal or No Deal Island continues on Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
