Captain Lee Returns in First Trailer for True Crime Series Deadly Waters

He’s back! Captain Lee Rosbach is returning to television, but this time, he won’t have to boss around a bunch of yachties. There are no preference sheets or hard-to-please guests. Instead, it’s just Captain Lee serving up stories about crimes that just so happened to occur on a boat. That includes lakes, rivers, seas, and anything that can fit a boat. Check out the trailer for Deadly Waters with Captain Lee.

Deadly Waters with Captain Lee trailer

Captain Lee’s new show is coming to Oxygen this summer with eight episodes. The former Below Deck captain will guide audiences through true crime stories along with interviews featuring victims and detectives. In the trailer, Captain Lee boasted about his boating experience which makes him the perfect host for this type of show.

“I spent over half my life at sea traveling around the world, but it’s not always smooth sailing,” Captain Lee quipped in the trailer.

“The water can be a very dangerous place—waves, unrelenting currents, and violent storms can come up in a matter of seconds,” Captain Lee continued. “For the first time, we’re exposing an even bigger threat than Mother Nature — people with a deadly agenda.”

In one episode, you’ll hear the story of a wife who mysteriously went overboard on Lake Eerie. The trailer also teased stories of a riverboat on fire and someone discovering a dead body on a boat. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Deadly Waters with Captain Lee marks his first television project since exiting Below Deck. He confirmed his departure from the show after season 10. At the time, he insisted that he was fired rather than retired. Now, he’s off to new waters with this new show, and he’s about to satisfy all of our true crime cravings.

Deadly Waters with Captain Lee premieres at 8/9c on June 1 on Oxygen.
