A lot has happened in the hours since The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 reunion concluded. For one thing, Candiace Dillard Bassett publicly announced her pregnancy.
But that doesn’t mean everything is sunshine and roses for the RHOP star. Her showing at the reunion was less than peaceful.
With the likes of Robyn Dixon, the latter revealed that she held no more “animosity” toward Candiace. In response, Candiace said she felt “neutral” about Robyn. But that wasn’t even Candiace’s worst spat.
Candiace was left in disbelief by Gizelle at the reunion
During Part 3 of the RHOP reunion, fans saw Candiace seemingly speaking to producers directly. “Wow. Y’all want me to be friends with this? Like you want me to make up with this?” she asked, referring to Gizelle Bryant. Gizelle said she blamed Candiace and other cast members for the physical altercation at her clothing line launch with Ashley Darby.
“Trying to start a business, and it being on TMZ for there to be a brawl is disturbing,” Gizelle told her costars. Candiace later explained that Ashley’s friend Deborah Williams “got right in my face and said, ‘Do you have something you want to say to me?’” causing her to lash out. Andy Cohen then asked if Candiace might’ve “swung” the champagne bottle she was holding.
She admitted she wasn’t sure. “I don’t know what I would have done,” she said. “I know that I turned around and I saw this person lunging at me. I’m not expecting you all to fight for me, okay? So I’m on my own.” Based on the looks that Gizelle and Ashley were giving, it seemed they thought Candiace was being a bit dramatic.
