This is a real mess. Tori Spelling is opening up about what finally led her to file for divorce from Dean McDermott. After 17 years of marriage, it turns out they had a nasty fight right before she pulled the plug on their marriage. According to Tori, it was “beast-like.”
The two reality stars have had marriage trouble for years, so from the sidelines, it was easy to assume that something nasty happened between them. Now, we’re getting all of the details thanks to Tori’s new podcast, Misspelling. She kicked off her brand-new venture by sharing a bunch of candid details about her breakup with Dean.
Screaming, shouting, and smashing potatoes
On the podcast, Tori perfectly painted the scene of how their final fight went down. She was sitting down, peacefully enjoying a loaded baked potato from Wendy’s. Allegedly, Dean interrupted her potato sesh with some nonsense. She said he commented on how he was “sick of picking up her sh-t.” After that, Tori completely lost it. She said she threw her “prized possession” of a potato at the wall and let out a scream that “wasn’t pretty.”
“This guttural scream came out of me,” Tori explained. “It wasn’t even a sexy scream like running in a horror film. It was beast-like.”
She continued, “I’ve never seen a baked potato fly like that. Let me just say, it was wall-to-wall potato. It was on the oven. It was everywhere.”
Although Tori filed for divorce, she said on the podcast that it was Dean who dropped the D-word first. It happened right after the argument. Tori said she left the potatoes on the wall and locked herself in the bedroom. Then, Dean came banging on the door and eventually made his way and told her that it was time to call it quits.
“He came in, and he was very, very upset,” Tori recalled. “And he said, ‘I want a divorce. This is over.’ And I said, ‘OK. Great. OK.’”
In Tori’s divorce filing, she requested spousal support and sole custody of all five of their kids. The details of the divorce have yet to be decided, so a potato-throwing incident like this probably isn’t the best look for Tori. Stay tuned for more on this divorce drama.
