Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor are still experiencing trouble in paradise. Their latest marital struggles have been showcased on Bravo’s newest show, The Valley.
During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Kentucky native revealed that “everything is kind of up in the air” regarding her marriage with Jax. “I feel like I’m really strong right now. I feel like I’ve grown a lot in the past couple of years.” The former Vanderpump Rules star said she deserves “better” than what he’s offering.
Brittany and Jax announced their plans to take a break from each other some time ago. “Jax and I are taking time apart, and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she said. “I won’t get into too many details right now because this is still very hard to talk about, and I’m taking things one day at a time. I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”
Brittany is sick of defending Jax to her friends and family
The first two episodes of The Valley saw Brittany comforting her friends, Nia and Danny Booko, after Jax pantsed the latter during their pool party.
“Honey, I’m so so, sorry — that’s the last thing I would ever want to happen to you is for you to get upset at the party,” Brittany told Nia. “That’s the last thing I would want.”
Later, Nia slammed her costar for constantly excusing Jax’s behavior.
“I love Brittany, but she was also just making all the excuses,” Nia told her husband, Danny. “Like why?” she asked.
Brittany told Andy the reason she cleans up after Jax is because she’s “ride or die for the people I love.”
“I always try to bring people together [and] make things better. But, also, people like watching it are mad at me that I was doing that but that was my husband.”
Now that she’s stopped making excuses for Jax, is Brittany seeing something in him she didn’t before? And if so, will it cause their separation to become permanent? That remains to be seen.
The Valley continues on Bravo, Tuesdays at 9/8c.
