Hookups don’t stay hidden for long in the Vanderpump Rules crew. In the last decade, many cast members have tried to keep affairs and late-night rendezvous a secret, but they always end up coming out. On the March 26 episode of VPR, viewers were shocked to find out that Katie Maloney hooked up with her ex-husband’s close friend, Max Boyens.

Jax Taylor and Stassi Schroeder had been dating for two years when Vanderpump Rules first aired in January 2013. The pair’s volatile relationship was captured in the first two seasons of the show. The couple called it quits in Season 1 after Stassi discovered Jax cheated on her in Vegas. They briefly reconnected later on but broke up for good in Season 2.
Stassi married Beau Clark in an intimate backyard wedding in September 2020. The pair welcomed their second child together in September 2023
Jax Taylor & Brittany Cartwright (Married)
Jax married Brittany Cartwright in June 2019 after four years of dating. The couple welcomed a son named Cruz in April 2021. The pair made headlines in February after Brittany announced they were taking time apart on an episode of their podcast When Reality Hits.
Jax Taylor & Faith Stowers (Hooked Up)
In Season 6 of VPR, Jax cheated on Brittany with SUR staffer Faith Stowers. The infidelity almost broke Jax and Brittany’s relationship but they were able to move past it.
Tom Sandoval & Kristen Doute (Dated)
Tom Sandoval and Kristen Doute dated from 2006 to 2013. They broke up in Season 2 of VPR after Kristen’s affair with Jax came to light.
Jax Taylor & Kristen Doute (Hooked Up)
Kristen cheated on Sandoval twice with his close friend, Jax. The affair was exposed in Season 2 when Jax came clean to Stassi.
Tom Sandoval & Ariana Madix (Dated)
Sandoval began dating his close friend and co-worker, Ariana Madix, after his split with Kristen. The couple dated from 2014 to 2023. The relationship came to a shocking end after Ariana discovered her longtime love had been cheating on her with their mutual friend, Rachel Leviss.
Tom Sandoval & Rachel Leviss (Affair)
Sandoval and Rachel began their affair in August 2023 and it continued for almost a year. Ariana found out about the affair in March 2023 after discovering an explicit FaceTime video of Rachel on Sandoval’s phone. The pair tried their hand at a relationship after the news broke but it didn’t pan out. Rachel cut all communication with Sandoval in the Summer of 2023.
Rachel Leviss & James Kennedy (Engaged)
Rachel and DJ James Kennedy started dating in 2016 and got engaged in the Spring of 2021. However, the two never made it down the aisle. They called off the engagement in December 2021.
James Kennedy & Lala Kent (Hooked Up)
James met Lala Kent on Season 4 of VPR and it wasn’t long before their friendship turned flirty. Initially, Lala was opposed to taking things too far with James. However, the two ended up sleeping together after Katie and Tom Schwartz’s engagement party in August 2015, despite her “no sleeping together” rule.
In Season 10 of VPR, Lala revealed that she and James had hooked up another time while they were still “new in their relationships.” She was with Randall Emmett, and James was with Rachel.
Lala Kent & Ariana Madix (Hookup)
Lala and Ariana hooked up in the backseat of Sandoval’s car in Season 7. It was just a one-time thing but the cast is still talking about it years later.
Kristen Doute & James Kennedy (Dated)
Kristen dated James after her split with Sandoval. For years, Sandoval has suggested Kristen banged James for revenge and James dated Kristen to get on the show. The two were together in Seasons 3 and 4 before calling it quits.
Tom Schwartz & Katie Maloney (Married)
Schwartz and Katie filed for divorce in May 2022 after 12 years together. In court documents obtained by People, Katie cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. The couple was linked for the first 9 seasons of VPR.
Tom Schwartz & Rachel Leviss (Make Out)
Schwartz and Rachel made out once in Mexico while celebrating Scheana Shay’s wedding.
Tom Schwartz & Jo Wenberg (Hookup)
Schwartz and Kristen’s friend, Jo Wenberg, began a “friends with benefits” relationship after he split from Katie. To this day, Schwartz has claimed they never dated.
Scheana Shay & Tom Schwartz (Made Out)
In Season 11, Schwartz revealed that he and Scheana made out one time in Vegas years ago. According to Scheana, Schwartz left out some major details when he told Lala about the hookup. Scheana said Schwartz tried to make a move and she rejected him.

Katie isn’t the first VPR cast member to hookup with Max. Scheana and Max had a thing in Season 8 but it never turned into a full-on relationship.
