Alexia Umansky Saw Mom Kyle Richards’ ‘Face Shift’ When Separation News Leaked

Buying Beverly Hills has given insight into the world of Kyle Richards’ daughters, with the likes of Alexia Umansky sharing her story amid the hotly discussed separation.

News of Kyle and Mauricio Umansky’s marital problems first hit the presses about eight months ago. What really stung was that Alexia and her sisters only found out at the same time the masses did. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills stars’ daughters were understandably hurt.

One of the more dramatic moments of Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 saw Sophia Umansky lashing out at her father, saying he did nothing to preserve his marriage. Alexia kept more of a level head but her hurt was still evident. See how she reacted to the moment Kyle knew.

Mauricio was slammed with calls amid separation news

In a confessional on Buying Beverly Hills Season 2, Alexia recounted the moment she found out about the separation. “I first found out about the article, we were paddle boarding with my family in Aspen,” she shared. “And I see my mom look at her phone, and I see her face shift. And I see my dad come out, and he just had, phone call, text message, phone call, text message.”

In his own confessional, Mauricio revealed, “Before the news broke, we had really not talked about the issues with the family. We had kind of kept it secret. Not secret, but away from the kids.” He tried to empathize with his daughters. “I can’t imagine the moment where you think your parents are divorcing, are separating, and you hear it from somebody else.”

When Alexia and her sisters, Sophia and Farrah Aldjufrie, discussed the news, Sophia said, “They’re not separated. Or, as far as I know, they’re not separated.” However, Farrah added, “What makes this time different is there is actually some truth to what’s being said.” She echoed Mauricio’s words in saying, “We don’t really discuss difficult things.”

Buying Beverly Hills Season 2 is available to stream on Netflix while The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is streaming on Peacock.
