Jax Taylor moved to The Valley, had a kid, married his wife, Brittany Cartwright (for now), and suddenly thinks he’s the perfect family man. Give me a break.
The former Vanderpump Rules star has a new show on Bravo. Alongside him are his wife and their friend Kristen Doute. They have known each other since their days working for Lisa Vanderpump at SUR. In the first episode of their new series, Jax questioned Kristen and her boyfriend, Luke Broderick, about their desire to have children.
“Now that we’re on this children conversation, I just want you to make sure that you’re ready for this situation,” Jax said. “Are you?” Uh. Are you, dude? Because MANY in the Bravosphere would say otherwise.
Scheana and Lala defend Kristen against Jax’s ignorant comments and questioning
Some of the VPR cast members were invited to Jax and Brittany’s for the first party scene of The Valley. Scheana Shay and Lala Kent attended and overheard Jax asking Kristen about becoming a mother. “No one is ready, Jax,” Scheana said.
“What makes you think that she wouldn’t be ready?” asked Lala. Jax responded with the obvious, saying a child “isn’t like getting a dog.” Hmm. You don’t say?
“Are you mentally there to have a child right now?” Jax questioned. “I just want you to do your research.” Later in the conversation, Kristen said that she’d been wanting to have a child “for a very long time.” During her confessional, the reality star voiced her frustration with men, specifically Jax, asking her about her body.
“If I want men to tell me when or when I cannot be a mother, I would just go hang out with Trump,” she said before saying, “Jax, go suck a d*ck.”
Luke and Kristen revealed on their podcast that as the season continues, more about their journey to becoming parents will unfold.
