James Kennedy retreaded familiar ground with Tom Sandoval in a petty text before they filmed the upcoming reunion. Hard to believe that the Vanderpump Rules Season 11 reunion is already on its way. Nevertheless, here we are.
Perhaps it’s hard to believe the reunion is so close because Season 11 has felt rather uneventful. Add that uneventfulness with a perceived redemption arc for Sandoval, and Bravo has ended up with some less-than-pleased viewers.
Still, the reunion could change everything as far as viewers know. And given James’ text pre-reunion, he and Sandoval may have engaged in some entertaining drama.
James’ response to Tom’s DJ insults
Bravo’s The Daily Dish spoke with James backstage at the Season 11 reunion. During their chat, James revealed that the last text he sent to Tom was “petty.” The revelation came from being asked which co-star he was last in contact with. “I think it was Sandoval, actually, believe it or not,” he said.
“Basically, five years ago, Tom made a comment saying, like, ‘Who does he think he is? He’s no Calvin Harris, Steve Aoki, it’s not like he has a Vegas residency,’ Tom allegedly said, referring to James’ DJing career. “I did get a clip that reminded me of him saying that to my face five years ago.” As such, James felt compelled to share an update with Tom.
“And it’s just funny now that I do have a residency now in Vegas at the same place that Calvin Harris does. It kind of blows my mind, and I just wanted him to know that, for some reason. I thought a couple days before the reunion was the perfect time, wouldn’t you?” If James was implying he’s on the same level as Calvin Harris, the man is in for a rude awakening.
James’ text of support from an unlikely co-star
On top of the text exchange with Tom, James also received a message from Brock Davies. “Brock did text me yesterday, just saying something sweet, actually. He was very sweet, indeed. He just noticed the growth,” James said.
The text read: “Brother, as I mentioned in my [Instagram] Story, we’ve had some moments over the years, but I’m very proud of the work you’ve put in yourself, and the dedication, buddy. It speaks wonders, and I don’t think I’ve said that to you, or said it enough. Congratulations, buddy, well done.”
