On the March 12 episode of Vanderpump Rules, Lala Kent compared Scandoval to her breakup with her ex, Randall Emmett. But Katie Maloney was not having it. Her bestie Ariana Madix is the Queen of the World, and Tom Sandoval is the wormiest Worm-with-a-Mustache ever.
However, I’m starting to agree with Scheana Shay. I’m getting a little tired of the Saint Ariana routine. Guys cheat, hearts get broken. You’re not the first woman that’s ever happened to. And Ariana seems to be doing extremely well in the aftermath, while Sandoval remains one of the most hated men on the planet.
Nevertheless, Kristen Doute oddly supports the woman who stole Sandoval from her 10 years ago. So it wasn’t surprising for her to take Katie’s side in the fight that exploded at Ally Lewber’s astrology party.
Kristen applauds Katie’s standing up to Lala
Even though she was fired from Pump Rules in 2020, Kristen and Katie are still friends. At the premiere party for The Valley, Kristen confessed that she doesn’t blame Katie for standing up to Lala.
“Katie and I are still friends … I don’t know exactly where she and Lala are [at] the moment,” Kristen told Page Six at Jax’s Studio City.
In the fight, Katie told Lala, “Say it with your whole best, bitch. Let it go.”
Lala, surprised at Katie’s tone, warned her not to start with her. “Excuse me, do not f*cking talk to me like that,” she told the Something About Her owner. “You don’t want it with me.”
Katie then said that Lala’s problems “always [have] to be bigger, better, [and] more important” than everyone else’s, which Lala strongly denied.
Meanwhile, watching at home, Kristen said she was yelling at her TV, “Yeah, Katie! Preach!”
Behind-the-scenes beef
The thing that was never mentioned on VPR was the “secret” falling out between Kristen and Lala, which happened just before the Season 10 reunion taped in March 2023,
“It may be talked about [at] some point in time,” Lala said on her March 12 Give Them Lala podcast. “I’m not going to talk about it today … But I feel like after that happened, we looked at each other differently, and we distanced ourselves.”
Though she and Lala hadn’t spoken in months, Kristen wasn’t aware they were actually on the outs. The fact that they had unsettled beef surprised her.
On her Sex, Love, and What Else Matters podcast, Kristen explained that she’d heard Lala was upset that she appeared on another podcast alongside Shahs of Sunset alum Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi. Lala and GG have been at odds since the latter said that Lala shouldn’t speak poorly about Randall in public because they have a child together.
Kristen isn’t friends with GG and wasn’t even aware Lala was mad at her. “Over somebody neither of us like or are friends with?” she said. “That’s on Lala … She’s the one who lost it. I wasn’t happy about it.”
