There’s a lot of talk these days about Andy Cohen, and now, Guerdy Abraira is putting in her two cents. It would make sense for Guerdy to be pro-Andy, and not just because he’s her boss.
Despite his best efforts to hide his personal opinions, Andy seemed to be pretty firmly on Guerdy’s side during The Real Housewives of Miami Season 6 reunion. Unfortunately for him, biases are the least of his problems.
Andy has, more than once, faced allegations about the culture at Bravo. But now more than ever, these allegations are piling up, with the likes of Leah McSweeney and Brandi Glanville dropping lawsuits and threats respectively. So, what did Guerdy have to say amid all of this?
Guerdy calls Andy and Bravo “passionate”
In a recent interview with Guerdy on Two Ts In A Pod, she shared, “Andy Cohen is definitely someone who’s – I think – has shown to be a champion of women, pushing women’s stories forward. I mean, look at my story. You know, a lot of people wanted me to hide and [said], ‘No, you should stop filming.’ Why?”
“That’s the problem. People say, ‘You have cancer, go rest … you’re too sick.’ No! We need to stop being put into a corner … We need to be able to share these stories and this is a big story. And I think that Bravo allowing it shows how passionate they are about real, raw stories that affect everyone.”
When the clip made its way to TikTok, Bravo fans were divided. Many users liked a comment tagging Andy, which said, “We love you.” Other users agreed with the sentiment expressed in a comment that read, “Hmmm he also has allowed women to fight and create hostility towards each other.” This commenter also conceded, “Not his fault entirely. The network too.”
