Dorit Kemsley has been entertaining viewers since she joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2016. The mother-of-two is known for her outrageous fashion choices and long-winded explanations.
In honor of Season 13 of RHOBH coming to a close, let’s take a look back at some of Dorit’s best moments on the show.
When She Sucked Up to Jamie Lee Curtis
In Season 12, actress Jamie Lee Curtis made an appearance on RHOBH to promote her company My Hand In Yours. The Halloween star showed the cast several products from her company and Dorit was living for it. After each item was shown, Dorit offered words of encouragement. She gushed over the items, which she described as “so chic.”
While the products were quite nice, it was clear her praise was rooted in wanting to impress an A-list movie star. The other women couldn’t help but laugh watching Dorit suck up to Jamie. Kyle Richards summed up her friend’s behavior perfectly stating in a confessional, “At this point, Jamie could show Dorit a dirty old tissue and she would say, ‘It’s so chic. Oh my god.'”
When She Jumped for a Birkin Bag
During a trip to Mexico in Season 7, Dorit overcame her fear of sharks for a Birkin bag. The group was spending the day on a boat and Dorit’s husband, PK, wanted his wife to get in the water. She was hesitant to jump in because of her fear of sharks but once PK offered her a Birkin, she was all in.
“Say Birkin in just about any situation and you’re probably going to get me to do just about anything,” she said in a confessional. We loved seeing her risk it all in the name of fashion. We wouldn’t expect anything less from our favorite fashionista.
When She Denied Her Plastic Surgery
During a trip to Lake Tahoe in Season 11, Garcelle Beauvais asked the girls if any of them had gotten a nose job. Erika Jayne was quick to admit to going under the knife but Dorit proudly stated she had “never had a nose job.” The ladies looked at her in disbelief. In a confessional, Kyle said, “I know wonders can be done with makeup and I see that Dorit does a lot of contouring but I know that most people here think she’s lying.” LOL.
To make matters worse, editors did her dirty by showing a side by side of her now next to a photo of her when she was younger. (In other words, “before her nose job.”) Savage! Her nose did look noticeably different, leaving viewers to believe she was not being honest about past cosmetic surgeries. While it’s totally possible she is just a master of contouring, we couldn’t help but laugh at this moment.
When She Called Out Erika
In the Season 13 premiere of RHOBH, Dorit confronted Erika for a comment she made at BravoCon. Erika was asked which of her co-star’s marriages was likely to end next and she answered Dorit and PK. Erika tried to defend herself by saying she was “being a showman” and giving the people what they want. Erika’s defense promoted one of the best Dorit confessionals of all time- “That’s not a showman, that’s a b****.” Iconic!
When She Called Out Andy for Yawning
On Part II of the Season 13 reunion, Andy Cohen continued a years long tradition of yawning while Dorit was speaking. This year, Dorit had enough and called out the host. “Don’t you dare,” she spat at Andy after noticing him yawning. We loved seeing her stick up for herself.
When She Held Her Own With Kyle
Prior to the reunion, Kyle sent Dorit a series of text messages asking her not to bring up their issues. Dorit did not appreciate the texts, calling them “manipulative.” The RHOBH star didn’t take the bait and addressed her issues with Kyle head-on during Part II of the reunion. While the two didn’t come to a clear resolution, we’re glad Dorit got to say her peace and didn’t let Kyle steamroll her.
