Trishelle Cannatella opened up to Dan Gheesling about receiving threats after appearing on Season 2 of The Traitors.
The Real World alum was crowned the winner of Peacock’s hit series alongside her MTV veteran, CT Tamburello. In the finale episode, CT and Trishelle were two of three remaining Faithfuls hoping to cash that $208,100 check. They could’ve split the money with Shahs of Sunset star MJ Javid; however, they chose to banish her in the final moments, leaving the pot of gold for just them.
Since the finale aired, Trishelle has faced much backlash from MJ and watchers — something she’s familiar with. Trishelle also got heat from viewers after targeting Drag Race alum Peppermint for the first banishment. During her recent chat with co-star Dan on his podcast, she spoke about the messages she’s gotten on social media, including the threats, since the season started, calling them “shocking.”

It’s no secret that some Bravo fans have put Dan and Trishelle through the fire for targetting the queen of the Traitors’ castle, Phaedra Parks. During an earlier episode, Phaedra made it clear she wasn’t a fan of Dan’s move (where he attempted to throw her under the bus during the roundtable), and at the reunion, she didn’t hold back.
When Andy Cohen asked about her thoughts during that moment, the Real Housewives vet told him she thought Dan was a “low-down son of a bitch,” and later called him a “piece of sh*t.”
Trishelle also had to fight off piercing comments. She told Dan that she reached out to Real Housewives of Orange County’s own Tamra Judge after she received “hundreds” of hateful messages a day. Some were telling her to “kill myself.” Tamra told her the hate would get easier with time.
Trishelle explaining that when she got off of the show, she was dealing with the death of a close friend. The comments she got felt like a “pile on,” revealing people threatened to “harm” her in public.
She finished by explaining that people on reality television have feelings and emotions, too. “People need to remember that we are human beings,” she said. “It’s not that serious — really.”
