Report: Janelle Brown To Reunite With Garrison’s Father Kody to Film ‘Aftermath’ of Suicide

Tragedy struck the Brown family and Sister Wives fans when Garrison Brown took his life on March 5. The son of Kody Brown and his ex-wife Janelle Brown, Garrison was just 25 when he passed away.

“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” Kody and Janelle wrote via social media. Adding to the pain of the situation, Garrison’s body was discovered by his brother and roommate, Gabriel Brown. One can only imagine how the family must be grieving.

However, perhaps viewers won’t have to strictly imagine, as sources close to TLC have suggested the network plans to film the ‘aftermath’ of Garrison’s death. Read on to see how the network has justified this decision.

TLC source says Brown family is “always filming”

One Sister Wives insider told Radar Online, “As sad as it is, his unexpected death came during the timeline of filming.” The source added, “The family is normally always filming – whether it’s actual cameras or on their phones.”

Another insider spoke with The Sun, saying, “TLC is going to want to continue the storyline and fans are going to expect to know what happened to him.” They further explained, “I can’t imagine any of this won’t be filmed. I just don’t know how far this will go and how deep the family will get.”

As for funeral plans, one source close to the family said the Browns “don’t lay people to rest quietly. It’s always a big beautiful celebration nine times out of 10.” They also expressed, “I just really hope they all come together.”

Indeed, may Garrison’s funeral be a celebration of his life, free from drama. Speaking of drama, it’s rather hard not to see TLC’s decision to film these events as anything but exploitative. If they must film, here’s hoping that the Brown family can grieve as they need to despite the cameras.
