Tom Sandoval is the newest Vanderpump Rules villain. The former bartender was once the number one guy in the group but lost a lot of audience support after his affair with Rachel Leviss came to light in March 2023.
While Scandoval certainly takes the cake for Sandoval’s worst moment on Vanderpump Rules, Season 10 isn’t the only time he’s received backlash from fans. There have been other moments when viewers questioned the Bravo star’s character.
Here are Tom Sandoval’s worst Vanderpump Rules seasons.
Season 3
Not a single Vanderpump Rules cast member, including Sandoval, was their best self in Season 3. The “singer’s” worst offense was lying about sleeping with “Miami Girl” while he was dating Ariana Madix. He suggested she and Kristen Doute made the whole thing up and fans believed VPR’s new golden couple over the scorned ex. The truth came to light in the Season 10 finale when he finally admitted he slept with her. According to Ariana, she and Sandoval were not exclusive at the time. Okay, so why not tell the truth then?
Season 8
Sandoval had a couple of unflattering moments in Season 8 but nothing beats his blowup at Stassi Schroeder’s book party.
Stassi wanted to throw a party at TomTom to celebrate the release of her book, so she worked with Tom Schwartz and Lisa Vanderpump to plan the event. Sandoval wasn’t thrilled that Stassi didn’t include him in the planning, so he sent her a series of rage texts the night before the event.
“Hey, so I found out TODAY about [your] book party at TomTom [with] no word from you??” one text read. “Truth, we have no bartenders…I’m not bartending and neither is Schwartz…so idk what is actually going to happen.”
In another text, he threatened to throw Stassi and her guests out of the bar.
“Do not put this on me [or] us [because] I will literally kick you the f*** out of TomTom.”
Sandoval seemed to be the only one stressed out about the event because when Stassi arrived at the bar Schwartz had fixed the bartender situation. If the rage texts weren’t bad enough, Sandoval attended the bar and began complaining about the event, which caused a blowup fight between him, Stassi, and Katie Maloney. Even Schwartz didn’t have Sandoval’s back on this one.
Season 4
Season 4 wasn’t too bad for Sandoval but it wasn’t one of his best, primarily because of one particular scene. Ariana was struggling with the death of her father and needed her boyfriend to be there for her. But Sandoval wanted to go on a trip with the boys. Ariana opened up about struggling with her grief and why she wanted him to stay home. Sandoval responded by saying he “wasn’t going anywhere” and would “always be there for her.” Unfortunately, he didn’t stop there. He then proceeded to tell her why he NEEDED to go on the boy’s trip, saying, “Apparently, he told me we’re going to a construction yard, and we’re taking bulldozers and, like, crushing shit with bulldozers.” Dudeeee. Seriously? Looking back, it was kinda of foreshadowing what would happen.
Season 10
Obviously! Season 10 was Sandoval’s true villain origin story. Since the cheating scandal came out when the season was airing, fans had the unique opportunity to search for clues all season long, and the findings were shocking. Watching him flirt with Rachel in front of Ariana, his girlfriend of nine years, made our stomachs churn. Season 10 was not a good look for Bravo star. From grabbing Rachel’s butt in Mexico to his vague excuses for why she spent the night at his place, it was bad. Really bad. He could have redeemed himself at the reunion but he doubled down and came off really defensive. It’s safe to say Season 10 was Sandoval’s worst season of Vanderpump Rules. Yikes.
