Phaedra Parks has reflected on Kate Chastain’s shady comment during the latest episode of The Traitors.
In an interview with Extra, the Real Housewives and Married to Medicine star spoke about her time in Scotland, the pressure of being a Traitor, and playing alongside Kate in the final moments.
During the roundtable discussion in Episode 10, Kate told Phaedra that in the game, she’s more “selfish than skillful.” We’ll see how that plays out for her later in the week. But when Phaedra discussed it further, she added that “it was a little weird” Kate got so “personal.”
Phaedra says she would’ve never turned on Kate because of the Traitor’s oath
It’s clear that the Below Deck star wanted to play the game with Phaedra until the very end. However, after Dan Gheesling’s failed hail-mary attempt, the reality star was targeted moving forward with no way to survive. But Kate felt the RHOA staple just quit.
“I think she wanted me to turn on Sandra [Diaz-Twine],” Phaedra said. “And I’m very loyal, and when I took the oath, I was going to play the game fair.”
“I would have never put anyone on the block that I knew was not a Traitor, and I wasn’t going to give up Kate. I just wouldn’t do that.”
The multi-hyphenate also revealed her feelings about playing next to the Big Brother legend Dan, who was banished in an earlier episode, saying she would’ve had an “easier” time if not for him.
Fans will see them come face to face for the first time since that tense moment on camera. In a separate interview about the reunion, host Andy Cohen teased the sit-down, calling it “epic.” He also added Dan was a little worked up with nerves.
“I went up to Dan. He looked at me. He looked like he had seen a ghost, and I’m telling you, I think he was shaking a little bit, and he goes, ‘Andy, I’m seeing you. I’m seeing that this is a reunion.’ He’s like, ‘This is…’”
