Larsa Pippen was already facing bad press over The Real Housewives of Miami Season 6, but the new case brought against Scottie Pippen just took things from bad to worse.
RHOM viewers know that Larsa and Scottie didn’t end things on the best of terms. Even Scottie’s family was not too kind to Larsa after their split. And when Larsa started dating Marcus Jordan, well, that didn’t exactly soften things.
But at the very least, aside from the expected divorce proceedings, Larsa didn’t levy major lawsuits against Scottie. Certainly not of the magnitude we’re seeing now from an alleged ex-girlfriend.
Scottie and family being sued for $250 million
A February 29 article from The Blast reported that an alleged ex-girlfriend brought sexual assault and harassment allegations against Scottie. Chyvette A. Valentine claimed to be Scottie’s ex, having sued him in the past for finances during their alleged relationship.
The latest lawsuit was filed in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois, on Wednesday, February 28. Valentine named the Chicago Bulls, Scottie, and his family – namely Larsa and brother Carl T. Pippen – as those responsible for her claimed suffering.
Valentine accused Scottie and his brother of rape, resulting in the birth of Devonte Pippen, who was murdered in 2011. After the alleged relationship ended, Valentine claims that Scottie used his power with the Bulls to stalk, harass, and torment her.
On top of the mental and emotional distress caused by these problems, Valentine claimed she lost housing, employment, and career opportunities due to the abuse of power. Valentine believed Scottie used his sway to cancel a police report she attempted to file in the past.
She further accused Scottie of using his medical connections to alter her records and deem her “mentally ill.” Valentine is seeking $250 million in damages.
