Rachel Leviss is suing Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix for alleged revenge porn. She filed a lawsuit, which also cites eavesdropping, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
According to Variety, the lawsuit claims Rachel “was a victim of the predatory and dishonest behavior of an older man, who recorded sexually explicit videos of her without her knowledge or consent, which were then distributed, disseminated, and discussed publicly by a scorned woman seeking vengeance, catalyzing the scandal.”
The video being discussed is one that Ariana supposedly found on Sandoval’s phone. This led to his affair with Rachel being exposed, and Scandoval being born.
Rachel’s lawsuit against Sandoval and Ariana also shows she feels misled by Bravo
The lawsuit continues: “Leviss was misled by Bravo and Evolution into believing that she was contractually barred from speaking out about her mistreatment. As a result, she suffered in silence as Bravo and Evolution watched viewership explode, and the rest of the cast enjoyed unseen levels of public recognition and professional opportunity.”
Pump Rules was said to be struggling in the ratings, and possibly at risk of cancelation. The exposing of Rachel and Sandoval’s affair saw those ratings shoot up. VPR is now one of the most-watched shows on Bravo.
It is also true that Rachel’s former co-stars have made incredible profits out of the scandal. For example, Lala Kent bragged about making enough money from merch, to put a down payment on a new home.
In recent weeks, Rachel has been reclaiming her voice via the podcast Rachel Goes Rogue. Now it seems she is ready to go a few steps further. In suing Sandoval and Ariana, Rachel has pressed the nuclear button. Right now, it’s unclear what she is seeking in potential damages. This could go on for some time.
Meanwhile, Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
