Porsha Williams’ life has been going through some wild swings. She decided to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for Season 16. She also signed a scripted deal with NBCUniversal. “I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” Porsha said of her new opportunities. “I’m looking forward to being back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and showing the world my new world!”
But then Porsha filed for divorce from her husband, Simon Guobadia. The couple were married for 15 months and tied the knot twice in two elaborate ceremonies. There is no way that Porsha’s divorce won’t be part of her storyline on RHOA. I have the feeling that this wasn’t the life that she wanted to showcase.
According to a source, Porsha’s decision to head to Splitsville had nothing to do with the shocking discovery that Simon may possibly be facing deportation. He allegedly was involved in several financial crimes, and also allegedly obtained a fraudulent green card. His legal troubles began way back in the 1980s.
Porsha’s first words about her divorce from Simon
Porsha shared some words of thanks on her Instagram over the weekend. “Thank you for your prayers & support,” she wrote, along with a broken-heart emoji and prayer emoji. She used the initials of her maiden name, “PW,” in the post.

While Porsha was posting about their divorce, Simon shared a photo of himself by his pool. I must say he looks rather relaxed. “Enthusiastically welcoming Spring. Happy Saturday,” he posted on Instagram, along with a praying hands emoji.
Porsha and Simon’s relationship began while he was still technically married to Falynn Pina. Falynn was Porsha’s co-star for one season of RHOA. Believe me, Porsha caught a lot of blowback because of the sketchy timeline.
