Porsha Williams Called Husband Simon Guobadia ‘Ride or Die’ Days Before Filing for Divorce

Porsha Williams Guobadia has had a busy couple of weeks. First, she knocked Bravo fans lopsided when announcing a big return to Real Housewives of Atlanta after a long hiatus. Then she went ahead and ended her marriage to Simon Guobadia.

On the heels of Porsha’s big day and viewers applauding her RHOA comeback, some interesting tidbits were revealed about her husband. It appears Simon might have had some skeletons in the closet and this week they all came out to play. If Porsha’s divorce announcement seems sudden, it’s because it is. As of last week, she was still singing Simon’s praises.

Ride, die, or divorce?

While Porsha took a pause from Bravo, she’s always remained active on social media and kept up with fans. Just last week she posted some fabulous images from a recent trip to Dubai with her now estranged man. In a 5-day-old clip that in no way alludes to rough waters in the marriage, Porsha calls Simon her “ride or die.”

The Instagram video was captioned, “My ride or die. (And yes he thought he was gone die today) #BeHisPeace @iamsimonguobadia.” Unfortunately, their paradise was short-lived because Porsha filed for divorce 15 months after getting married.

She has yet to speak out on her reasons, but insiders say it is “unrelated to recent allegations involving Simon’s past.” Porsha’s husband was recently denied permanent residency in the US because of a criminal record. Simon has previously been accused of using a fake identity along with credit card fraud. He is appealing the decision but I doubt Porsha will be appealing her decision to cut him loose.

A source confirms Simon and Porsha’s marriage is an “ongoing matter.”

Season 16 of Real Housewives of Atlanta will return with Single Porsha in 2024 on Bravo.
