Tom Sandoval shocked the nation when he decided to cheat on Ariana Madix. However, as it turned out, there was at least one person all too close to the situation who wasn’t surprised – Billie Lee.
Later, in a less surprising turn of events, Bravo revealed that Billie would come back for a guest appearance on Vanderpump Rules Season 11. Fans speculated that Billie was returning because Tom was struggling to find any support from the rest of the cast.
Billie was able to provide the love for Tom, as no one else – except Lisa Vanderpump – could. Perhaps because, evidently, she appears to know him better than anyone. Case in point, her long-held assurance that he would cheat on Ariana.
Billie reconnected with Tom in fear for his well-being
On the February 18 episode of The Tasteless Gentlemen podcast, Billie Lee came on to discuss all things VPR. In discussing Scandoval, she called Tom’s actions “devastating,” but added, “I somewhat understood because the relationship was so bad for a while. They weren’t sexual for a very long time.”
She continued, “It was very much roommate [and/or] brother-and-sister vibes a lot of times. So, I wasn’t really surprised.” She did, however, express surprise that Tom hadn’t cheated earlier:
“I was expecting him to do it years earlier, to be honest, just because I just know the situation. Then I didn’t talk to him for six weeks when it happened because I wanted to respect and be there for Ariana.”
The fact that Billie expected Tom to cheat rather than to just break up with Ariana says something about his character. Billie chose to reach out to Tom after she heard about how the situation was affecting his mental health. “We were really afraid for his well-being. I was like, ‘You know, he’s always been there. He’s always had my back.'”
