There’s been a new development in the saga of Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi. For those out of the loop, Tom is in the middle of a trial for alleged embezzlement. If the allegations are true, Tom stole over $15 million from his clients.
Erika has managed to avoid any charges thus far. There were initial rumblings that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star may have been involved in Tom’s accused crimes. However, as of right now, nothing’s been proven regarding any involvement from Erika. She could still lose out, though.
That said, Erika took a lot of heat in the court of public opinion for appearing to exercise no sympathy for Tom’s alleged victims. Well, it would appear the criticism got to her as footage recently surfaced of Erika meeting the women for the first time. It was weird.
Erika’s meeting with Tom’s alleged victims baffles fans
On January 30, journalist Dave Quinn posted a video of Erika meeting those from whom Tom allegedly stole. The clip saw Erika walking down the street toward the appointed meeting place. An apparent producer explained, “Today, several victims will get a chance to finally meet Erika Girardi.”
When Erika sat down with the women, she admitted, “I’m at sort of a loss for what to say.” After an awkward pause, one of the alleged victims asked, “Did you see the documentary?” referring to ABC’s The Housewife and the Hustler from 2021. Erika revealed that she had seen it and another long pause followed. That’s all we’re getting for now, but it was enough to get the Bravosphere talking.
Reactions on X, formerly known as Twitter, ranged from amused to angry. One user expressed how they hoped the alleged victims were paid and would receive no “further exploitation.” Another reply suggested, “There is nothing genuine about this woman. Actions speak louder than words.” Other fans were simply begging for context.
