Toya Bush-Harris from Married to Medicine is opening up about her issues with Quad Webb. The reality stars have had a tumultuous past few seasons. After Quad alleged that Toya had been unfaithful to her husband, Eugene Harris, during an earlier season, things haven’t been the same.
Fast forward to Season 10 of the Bravo series; Quad isn’t in the best place with the rest of the women. While on their cast trip to wine country, also known as Napa Valley, many of the women, including Toya, asked the OG M2M star to leave after claiming no real emotional connection between them.
Since then, watchers have held some of the Married to Medicine cast member’s feet to the fire, accusing them of being mean girls for how they treated Quad. However, Toya wants to clear her name.
Toya defends asking Quad to leave Napa Valley
“I think ‘mean girls’ is a misconception because I think the reality is when they watch our show, one of the most important things they’ve always asked of us was to keep it real,” Toya explained to Bossip.
She explained further that their show has always been about “real friendship.”
“So what do y’all want from us now? Do you want us to pretend? Do you want us to become like other shows that you complain about? Because we’re just really and truly at a place where we’re like, ‘Look, how many times do we have to give people the chance to actually be a real friend?'”
One of the allegations Toya and other cast members have made against Quad is that she’s not interested in being friends with the ladies when the cameras are down.
“How do you build a relationship if you separate yourself from these individuals?” Toya asked. “And so I can’t do that. That’s a part of my job. My job is to build relationships with the people on my show and maintain it. And if she’s not willing to do that part of her job, which is the most important part, then she needs to find herself a new job with her real friends.”
How does Toya feel about Quad’s apology?
Viewers saw Quad’s attempts at repairing her relationship with her co-stars, but according to Toya, it was too little too late.
“I really want the people to understand that if Quad was sorry, [then] me and Quad have been in the same room since then,” she said. “She has never once said, ‘I’m sorry.’ She’s never pulled me aside, woman-to-woman.”
“Quad has not made any effort [to fix her relationship with me].”
Married to Medicine recently filmed their Season 10 reunion. It’s unclear what went down exactly, but Quad was in attendance, so we’re hoping Toya and Quad could get to the bottom of things.
