Heather Dubrow and husband Dr. Terry Dubrow never really shied away from sharing their lives on The Real Housewives of Orange County. And this included the ups and downs of their marriage, kids, and home.
They sat down together to be on Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. There, they filled everyone in on what was going on in their lives. This included what being on the show’s been like, all the rumors, and how their kids reacted to certain subjects.
Addressing the rumors
Once again, these two proved that there were no holds barred when they chatted openly with Alex Baskin about several topics. This included rumors previously swirling around their marriage.
They touched on fighting, cheating, and malpractice rumors, along with how their kids reacted. And they were quick to explain that being a public couple means your relationship is always going to be subject to this type of chatter.
“Every year I get the ‘he’s cheating on me rumors,’” Heather said. “And normally we just don’t respond, but it had gotten so egregious that our kids were calling us, saying, ‘We know you’re fine, but what it is?’”
Terry admitted that it was often difficult when the rumors went unchecked. He recalled a time he had been the subject of malpractice allegations. It’s never easy, but it’s the price you pay for being a couple on reality TV. People don’t just get involved in the parts of your life they see on screen. Instead, they get involved in all aspects.
Even now, their marriage remains a popular topic among fans, and they both said that filming really highlights any cracks a relationship might already have. For those that don’t have them, filming can cause fractures.
But Heather and Terry prove that sometimes, a happy couple can make it through.
The Real Housewives of Orange County is set to return to Bravo for Season 18 later this year.
