This season of the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip was the best one, mainly due to having the OG ladies of the Big Apple back at the helm. Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Kristen Taekman, Kelly Bensimon, Ramon Singer, and Sonja Morgan on RHUGT were just what fans needed to see after a shockingly cold holiday season. The legacy women brought a sense of nostalgia that Bravo viewers were all aware they were missing. While there were not that many blowouts onscreen, there were a few RHUGT Season 4 meltdowns worth mentioning.
Ramona’s Laundry Meltdown
Bless Martin, the villa’s concierge, seemed to have a crush on Luann. However, he was in over his head when it came to dealing with Ramona. The Singer Stinger didn’t hold back as she became frantic while trying to pack up her clothes, noticing she had misplaced her white bikini. Ramona has a knack for acting like a butthead most of the time and didn’t disappoint with her laundry outburst. Martin insisted that garments had just been misplaced, but Ramona suspected of fowl play.
After demanding Martin take her to the laundry room (which was huge), she wanted to open an already moving machine (which would have ruined the load) and ransacked the clothes that were already hanging up. Noticeably tipsy, Ramona stomped into the Bravo control room where deer in headlights gazes stared back at her. Ramona didn’t seem bothered that she had broken the fourth wall and continued to hug and hang on to Martin. Finally, Dorinda tracked her friend down to let her know the bikini had been put in her stuff. All’s well, that ends well, but Ramona showed her discontent and privilege a bit too much if you ask me.
The Make It Nice Queen Has a Taste for Blood
There is nothing I enjoy more than watching an activated Dorinda, especially after a few stiff cocktails. What could only be deemed as Scary Island 2.0, Kelly was seen multiple times spiraling a bit when it came to interacting with the ladies of the RHUGT. Sadly, there were no gummy bears to chomp on this time around in St. Barths.
After Kelly was warned that she was told to watch out for “AM and PM” Dorinda, viewers knew there was going to be a brouhaha soon enough. It all started when Kelly refused to do her real estate work inside her own room. This aggravated everyone who was outside at the pool trying to get some vitamin D.
Dorinda had been sticking up for Kristen as it became crystal clear Kelly had made her a target. During another wacky conversion, Dorinda finally called out Kelly for being jealous of the LA model. Kristen had made a real effort to bond with the women, and with loyalties changing, it was clear Kelly was bothered. The biggest insult that Kelly couldn’t let go of was when Dorinda called her behavior “c*nty.” You could argue semantics since Dorinda used the word to describe Kristen’s treatment, but Kelly was like a dog with a bone.
The Ranger Ticket Confrontation
Who knew that the Rangers were the hot ticket in town? My moment of questioning was cleared up as soon as Luann noted that she had been waiting on an invite from Kelly to an MSG game because that is where all the hot, rich men go for a night out. Eventually, it became painfully obvious that Kelly didn’t have the connections for free tickets and probably didn’t want Luann nabbing all the men. The fight ended and no tickets changed hands. Honestly, Lu, go to a scalper like the rest of us.
The Pause Conversation Heard Around the Table
Never, EVER, bring up that Dorinda was fired, for she will erupt like a dragon in heat because she only accepts that she was paused. Honestly, the semantics here are crazy, but the emotions behind them were intense as Kristen decided to poke the mama bear that is Dorinda. Kristen knew what she was doing when she brought up the topic as Dorinda maintained her stance that her exit from the Real Housewives of New York was different from Kristen’s or any other housewife’s.
However, the mother of two just didn’t back down as she noted, “The show we were on doesn’t exist anymore. Call it ‘pause,’ call it ‘fire,’ we’re all in the same boat, girl!” In typical Dorinda fashion, she clapped back with a monumental insult that I will soon have on my own coffee cup, yelling, “Eagles don’t fly with pigeons, so go get your bread crumbs and get back to me.”
