Sutton Stracke Responds to Julia Roberts’ Reenactment of Her ‘Name ‘Em’ Moment

Even though it’s said that “imitation is the highest form of flattery,” not everyone enjoys being mimicked. But when the impersonator is Oscar-winner Julia Roberts, Sutton Stracke couldn’t be more thrilled!

One week after Julia dramatically re-enacted Sutton’s viral “name ’em” scene on Watch What Happens Live, Sutton is giddy. “She’s so amazing, and she’s from Georgia,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star told E! News on Dec. 11. “I am truly speechless because that’s a moment you can never imagine would happen in your life … I was maybe a bit off that night, but I guess it paid off because that’s once in a lifetime.”

“Julia Roberts can play me in the movie because her accent was spot-on,” she joked. “She’s hired.” Although Julia might be a little tall to play the Sutton Concept boutique owner, being from the same home state definitely gives her an edge over the competition. She’s got the accent down.

A meme in the making

The scene began with RHOBH co-star Kyle Richards accusing Sutton of always overreacting to every situation (“ugly leather pants,” anyone?). Before Kyle (played masterfully by host Andy Cohen in a dark wig) could even finish her sentence, Sutton blurted out, “Name ’em.” She kept repeating the phrase every few seconds until finally Kyle angrily snapped, “Let me talk!” There was also a lot of eye-rolling and dramatic gesturing on Sutton’s part. Julia’s performance was much more understated and controlled.

So what did Kyle think about their fight going viral? “While it was happening,” she said, “I was thinking this is a meme in the making … I was trying to explain when I left to our producer how crazy that moment was, and then when it aired I was like, ‘Oh my God, she said it nine times! Nine!'”

If Sutton were my friend, that would have annoyed the crap out of me. It’s like she was having a seizure. Not that I’m condoning violence, but I’m surprised Kyle didn’t slap her just to snap her out of it.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
