Charli Burnett was the sole Vanderpump Rules cast member on the girls trip to Las Vegas in Season 10 to support Rachel Leviss. The duo left the divorce party trip early after a serious of uncomfortable events left Rachel on the outs with Katie, Kristina Kelly, and Lala Kent.
At the time, no one could pinpoint what was going on with Rachel. But of course, the revelation of her affair with Tom Sandoval explained a lot.
Unfortunately for Charli, she aligned herself with the disgraced reality TV star. If that was her reason for not filming Season 11, it would be understandable. She joined the series in Season 8. But regardless of why she left, Charli is now spilling tea on how her castmates reacted.
“All water under the bridge,” Charli said
During the Tuesday, December 12, episode of The Viall Files podcast, Charli revealed that Lala cut contact with her.
“I think she’s mad at me still,” Charli said. “When I was with the producers, they told me something … Then I was like, ‘Oh, she unfollowed me the other day.’ I just realized it. It probably happened a long time ago.”
The former Vanderpump Rules star can’t pinpoint what happened, but she thinks Lala might be upset about that was said on the “Secrets Revealed” VPR special in June.
“That’s OK. We will all talk about it one day. All water under the bridge. I love everyone on that show, though,” Charli said.
The VPR alum also spoke about her decision to leave the show after joining in 2020.
“[It] just didn’t feel aligned with me this year. I just couldn’t do it. I got the contracts, we were talking for months, everything was going good. The day it came to sign on the dotted line — I was already ready to film that night — something told me not to do it,” Charli explained.
She continued, “I was having a really hard time in negotiations and contracts. I just didn’t know where I fell into place with Vanderpump this year.”
Perhaps the fallout of Scandoval was to blame for making Charli feel “uncomfortable.” Perhaps it was time to move on anyway as the dynamic had changed so much. But Charli has better things to focus on, including getting engaged to Corey Loftus.
