In the wake of Scandoval, Vanderpump Rules fans the world over were eagerly tuned in for the Season 10 reunion. Everyone hoped Tom Sandoval and Rachel Leviss would get their just desserts while Ariana Madix would walk away triumphantly.
The reunion was full of ups and downs, but one of the biggest ups was undeniably Ariana’s red dress. Firstly, Ariana wore the two-piece pairing of jacket and skirt confidently. Her entrance prompted Lisa Vanderpump to say, “That’s a revenge dress if I ever saw one.” Andy Cohen added, “I know. She’s like Princess Diana.”
Ariana’s upcoming book, Single AF Cocktails: Drinks for Bad B*tches, features a “Revenge Dress” recipe. The book also has photos of Ariana reinventing the dress twice over. The story of the dress is paired with “a fiery red Negroni,” along with new details about the dress.
Ariana was “obsessed” with the dress at first sight
Ahead of the book’s release, Ariana spoke with People about the viral reunion outfit. Turns out, the virality of the fashion moment was more of a happy accident than anything else. “It wasn’t planned,” she explained. “I just wanted to have something that I felt good in, that I felt strong in.”
More than anything, revenge was never part of the outfit choice in Ariana’s mind. “The word ‘revenge’ has never come out of my mouth. It’s something that was said by Andy in the moment and was a really nice thing to say … And yeah, it was a moment that helped me feel like I had some sort of armor.”
An excerpt from the book shared, “I knew this time around my outfit needed to make a bold statement. When [Emil Men] pulled out an amazing red top and skirt combo, we were both immediately obsessed. Turns out the best way to get revenge on an ex is to simply remind them of how you’re a total firecracker, with or without them.”
Ariana’s book hits shelves tomorrow, December 5, and Vanderpump Rules returns to Bravo in January.
