She did the thing. Jamie Lynn Spears has quit I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Who’s surprised?
Jamie became the second celeb to call it quits this season after eleven days in the jungle. The news of her leaving arrived via The Mirror, which claimed the show was descending into “chaos” because of the early exits.
Get her out of there
Jamie arrived on the show, purporting to be “best known for being an actress and singer.” Then, within minutes of arriving in the jungle, the complaints started. She cried over a chocolate bar. She cried about missing her kids. It’s been a rollercoaster for her. However, the official statement from ITV claimed that she left because of medical issues.
The statement read, “Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! on medical grounds. She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”
Sources close to the show don’t seem confident in that statement. One insider said, “She has been struggling physically and mentally for some time. If you look back even last week this is not a complete surprise by any means.”
Even watching from home, the writing was clearly on the wall that Jamie Lynn wasn’t going to last long on this show. In the latest episode, she was crying about how much she missed her kids. So, some of the other “celebrities” tried to give her some words of wisdom. It was a lost cause, and Jamie was still full of complaints.
On the show, Jamie whined, “I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much, I hate it here so much. I hate it, I hate it, I hate it here. This place is where people go to have the worst days of their lives. Dear God, please help me to make it. I think I’ve got to leave, I think I’ve got to leave.”
So, it seems like Jamie Lynn got her wish. She’s on her way back home to Florida.
You can continue following the chaos on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here, currently airing on ITV1.
