Bravo’s runaway hit of 2023 was, almost without a doubt, Real Housewives of New York Season 14. Fans quickly fell in love with the rebooted cast. In particular, Jenna Lyons became a fan favorite due to her unconventional Housewife nature.
Of course, the question permeated since day one as to whether Jenna was too big for the show. Once Season 14 ended, the question transformed into whether Jenna would stay on the show at all.
When the slate for BravoCon 2023 was revealed with Jenna’s name notably absent, fans thought the writing on the wall was clear. However, as it turns out, the Housewife herself isn’t all that clear on a return due to changes in her personal life.
Why Jenna Lyons skipped BravoCon 2023
On November 24, Jenna visited TODAY to discuss all things RHONY and the rumors surrounding her future with the show. When it came to Jenna’s decision to join the show in the first place, she explained, “I did it for a reason. I have a business and I want to support that business and it’s had a much bigger halo than I ever expected.”
However, now she has other considerations: “But I also am in a relationship now and I have to take that into consideration.” She continued, “How that impacts not just me but the people around me. So, I have some thinking to do.” With no firm decision made yet, Jenna admitted she was “wondering” about a return to RHONY.
The conversation then moved to why Jenna hadn’t attended BravoCon. Many fans took that as a sign of departure, but Jenna attributed her absence to “a lot of combinations of things.” Jenna explained, “Mostly, I just had a lot going on and you had to fly to Las Vegas. It’s also, that is a lot of attention in a very intense way with fans and in the end … that was — maybe not for me.”
