Despite their marital separation, Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky celebrated Thanksgiving as a family with their four girls. Each of them posted photos and clips on Instagram sharing their holiday festivities, during which they hosted about “15 or 16” other people.
Wearing an apron, the former Dancing with the Stars contestant showed off his kitchen game, while Kyle lit chafing dishes. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star humored her spouse by lifting the lids of each container so that he could take pictures of all the food.
In July 2023, the couple announced the separation of their 27-year marriage. At the time, a source close to the couple shared, “Kyle and Mauricio have been separated for a while now, but are still living under the same roof. They remain amicable as they figure out what’s next for them and their family.”
Thanksgiving is still a family holiday for Kyle and Mauricio
Even though their marriage is on shaky ground, Kyle and Mo presented a united front for the holiday with their four girls: Farrah, Alexia, Sophia and Portia. Kyle even included a video of the family’s German shepherds Luna and River, with Mauricio tagged in the background.
Following a dinner of turkey and all the trimmings, guests gathered in the living room. There Mauricio entertained their guests by playing the piano.
In the months following their announcement, both Kyle and Mo have been open about their complicated situation. But that doesn’t mean they’re sharing every detail. The Buying Beverly Hills star recently got a little touchy, telling a podcast host, “When I know what I’m doing with my marriage, I will let you guys all know. Until then, everybody can take a hike and f*ck off.”
Cracks in the relationship
Mauricio also admitted that he’s not following Season 13 of the Real Housewives. But then, until recently he’d been spending a lot of his time rehearsing with his DWTS dance partner Emma Slater. Rumors circulated that he and Emma were romantically involved, which they’ve both denied.
“I know that they’re dramatizing everything,” Mau said about RHOBH. “There’s a bunch of stuff that I don’t really want to see because it will just create more noise for me and more opinions.”
Additionally, tongues were wagging over the summer about Kyle’s friendship with country music singer Morgan Wade. Kyle made an appearance as Morgan’s love interest in a music video, which included a sultry kiss. But she insists it was just an acting job, and she and Morgan are just good friends.
In October, Kyle told Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen that she was the one who asked for the separation. “It originated from me,” she said. No explanation was offered for the split.
