The rebooted cast were a smashing success on the Real Housewives of New York Season 14. Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Brynn Whitfield, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, and Ubah Hassan brought a fresh mix of drama and friendship to the Big Apple.
But their longevity on the show remains a mystery, as nothing has been confirmed in terms of returning cast members for the next season. It was rumored, however, that Bravo was conducting casting for Season 15.
It’s all speculation at this point whether Bravo will invite the RHONY ladies back. And of course, it should be considered whether any one wants to return after their experiences on their freshman season.
Jenna misses another cast event
One of the ladies seems less than enthusiastic about engaging in cast events. Jenna, the former J. Crew executive, was noticeably absent from BravoCon earlier this month. While her absence fueled rumors that she was not interested in returning to the hit reality TV series, she played it off to Entertainment Tonight as that she “had some things to do.”
“I had an event and I had some other things that I had to do that were personal. And I’m preparing for — I have to leave tonight, I have to be on a flight so I just couldn’t. It didn’t work out,” Jenna explained.
More recently, the mother of one missed a reunion dinner of sorts when the other ladies or RHONY got together on November 19. Hopefully, it was Sai approved cuisine.
“The cackling hags club,” the influencer captioned a photo of herself with her cast mates. Jenna is noticeably absent.
What does Andy say?
However, Bravo executive Andy Cohen insisted that there was no move from the network’s end to terminate relations with Jenna.
During a recent episode of his radio show, Andy Cohen Live, he spoke about wanting to work with Jenna again.
“[It was] not any great statement on her relationship to the show or with us … We have a great relationship and I hope she comes back,” Andy stated.
It’s worth noting that Jenna took a lot of heat from Ubah for being inauthentic while on screen. Should Jenna choose not to return to Bravo, perhaps it’s simply an issue of not being here right fit for her. However, a recent Instagram post mourning the loss of her beloved friend could have been the reason she has been MIA.
