Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump might be giving us a shred of hope. But it’s a very thin, fragile, pretty much non-existent shred. That said, I’ll take the damn thing. The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills friends spoke about each other at BravoCon over the weekend.
Lisa kicked things off by commenting on the state of Kyle’s marriage when she was asked. Kyle seemed to appreciate LVP’s kind words and while the two didn’t have lunch, it appears all swords are sheathed. For now. While Lisa and Kyle might not be close, she is friends with some of the RHOBH cast. During a BravoCon panel, the group was asked about a potential return of … The Queen. The Wrap has the details.
Don’t tease us like this
Some hardcore Beverly Hills viewers haven’t been the same since Lisa quit the show. It wasn’t so much how she left but why she left. It was quite something to watch a human being mourn the loss of an immediate family member while avoiding petty blows from her “friends.”
Lisa and Kyle had a relationship most of us adored. They were funny, they had friction, and as long as Kyle had someone to play off of, she could carry her weight. After Kyle and an unfortunate hat accused Lisa of lying, Kyle was effectively erased from Lisa’s life. But now … they’re talking about each other in pleasant ways and the streets are already going nuts.
Here we are, four years later, and the current RHOBH cast is asked if they would like to open the door to Ms. Vanderpump. Garcelle Beauvais replied, “I mean I think she’s great television. She’s obviously an amazing businessperson. But I think there’s probably some unfinished business and I think she was really great on the show. But it was before my time, so I was a viewer and not a part of it.” She added, “But I love Lisa Vanderpump.”
Not everyone spoke up …
Crystal Kung Minkoff echoed Garcelle’s sentiments and said, “Same.” Kyle, Erika Jayne, and Dorit Kemsley were rendered mute by the prospect, but Kyle said some nice things about Lisa earlier in the day.
“Listen, I always forgive and forget everything. That’s just my personality,” Kyle said. Fortunately for Lisa, she’s not directly related to Kyle so that could be an accurate statement. She continued, “[Lisa’s] less like that, let’s just say. But I’m always open to whatever. I don’t hold any grudges.” Newbie Annemarie Wiley noted she “loves meeting new people” and is “all for it.”
