A scary individual who used to be on The Real Housewives of New Jersey and shall not be named once uttered the tagline, “You’re either going to love me or hate me, there is no in-between with me.” Years later, it looks as if Teresa Giudice is the one fulfilling that role. And at BravoCon 2023, Teresa was definitely catching a lot more hate when she was booed than “love love love!”
In addition to the crowd chanting “fire Teresa!” at a different panel, she also caught a hefty booing after shooting down down any chance of a reconciliation between her and her brother, Joe Gorga.
Teresa said there’s no chance she and Joe Gorga will make up
We all could’ve predicted that Teresa and her brother’s relationship would never be quite normal, starting with that Season 3 Christening brawl between him and Teresa’s ex-husband, Joe Giudice.
We’ve watched Teresa, Joe, and his wife Melissa Gorga struggle to find peace for over a decade. The Season 13 reunion really showed how broken the relationship is. It seems like things have finally become irreparable. At least according to Teresa.
When asked at a Sunday BravoCon panel if there could ever be a possible ceasefire between her and her brudder, Teresa gave a definitive “no.”
“First of all, I’m living this journey and I’m all about family and respect and trust. Sorry. That chapter’s closed with my brother, unfortunately. It really is.”
The crowd was not pleased with that answer and erupted into boos and heckling. Did anyone else find those boos as satisfying as I did?
Melissa addressed the family feud too
Melissa was asked a similar question at a Saturday panel. She gave a little more of a diplomatic answer, but it was clear that she’s also not ready to have Sunday dinner with her sister-in-law.
Melissa said, “You know what? It’s hard. But I’ve come to a point in my life where, you know, you can try, you can try, you can try, but at some point you need to protect your peace and you need to create a boundary and I think that’s what I did and that’s what we’re doing.”
Will we finally get a season where sisters-in-law squabbling over trivial things like sprinkle cookies won’t be a storyline? Fingers crossed!
Season 14 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will drop sometime in 2024.
