The reality reckoning is upon us, and Leah McSweeney isn’t backing down.
In Vanity Fair’s bombshell report on all things Bravo, Leah levied some major accusations against the network She also revealed that she filed a discrimination complaint against her former employer, Andy Cohen, Shed Media, and a few other high-level executives. She claims that they violated the Americans with Disabilities Act while she was filming Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
Apparently, Leah’s ADA complaint was just the beginning of her war on reality TV. Page Six reported the details of her next move, and she is ready to take this to court.
Leah isn’t backing down
After the Vanity Fair article dropped, the former Real Housewives of New York star took to Instagram and shared a post saying that she was “lawyered up,” as if the article didn’t make that abundantly clear. A fan commented under the picture and showed her support. They wrote, “Miss you on RHONY. Read Vanity Fair. I wish you $$$ in lawsuit. You deserved better by antagonist @bravotv producers!”
Leah replied to the fan and wrote, “thank u appreciate you. I’m very much looking forward to depositions :).”
Leah has signaled that this is just the beginning of her legal battle, and a source close to the former reality star echoed that sentiment. They said she wants to go “all the way” with her legal complaint.
“She wants to hold them accountable, but she also wants to move on,” the source claimed.
Leah might be ready to move on, but she’s not so desperate to move on that she’ll take a payday from Bravo. The source said that she’s going to refuse any settlement offers so that she can take Bravo all the way to court. Allegedly, there are “sordid details” that will be unearthed in court documents when Leah gets them to court.
“She doesn’t want money through a settlement,” the source claimed. They added: “She wants a trial. She wants [Bravo execs] in front of a jury.”
The source said that a lawsuit from Leah is imminent, so expect more on this saga as Leah’s lawyers work overtime to take down Bravo.
