On Friday, May 5, Below Deck’s most fabulous chief stew gave birth to her first child. Of course, she gave him a nautical name. “Hard Launch: Sullivan Cay,” she posted on Instagram, surrounded by blue heart emojis.
Currently, she’s in new mommy bliss in Fort Lauderdale, living in the same building as her BD bestie, Chef Ben Robinson. They reportedly live only one floor apart. I wonder if he’s any good at babysitting?
Livin’ the mommy life
On October 25, Kate had a quickie conversation with Below Deck Mediterranean’s very own Captain Sandy Yawn. “I love how mommy looks on you,” Sandy told her. “Like I said to Leah [her fiancée], we gotta get her that Barefoot Dreams blanket and the little outfit, because it’s so soft. Does he like it?”
“Yes,” Kate responded, “and by the way, thank you for bringing that up. I meant to tell you, but we started so quickly … I’m just gonna send you a text of the thank you notes that I’ve already written. Everybody that came to my baby shower in Florida and sent me presents, I’ve written the cards.”
“But I’ve got a newborn,” she added. “So it’s the finding the addresses and putting the stamps on that I have not gotten around to. [But] thank you so much. You’ll be getting a text…”
“Oh, my gosh,” Sandy said, “I don’t need a thank you note. I’m not a person that writes thank-you notes, so don’t worry.”
“Actually,” Kate continued, “one of the blankets that’s got the little dogs on it, I put that on his changing table. So I look at that and think of you guys every single day. Multiple times a day. Now it does get some poop on it, but I’m thinking of you guys with love.” Awwww, sweet!
