Erika Jayne is one of the most criticized Bravolebrities in recent memory. Things weren’t helped when the recent Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 13 trailer didn’t feature her too prominently.
The trailer saw what looked to be the beginnings of a feud between Erika and Denise Richards. But beyond that, all of Erika’s upcoming relevancy for Season 13 seemed to be centered around planning for her Las Vegas residency.
Reviews for Erika’s Las Vegas show were mixed, which didn’t help the wave of criticism toward Erika either. However, another Bravolebrity stepped in to try and defend Erika. Vanderpump Rules star, Lala Kent, is giving the blonde some good press.
Lala sympathizes with Erika’s legal troubles
In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Lala admitted Erika was the most inspirational Bravolebrity. She said, “I just think what she has been going through and having to face what she faces and she’s in the court system so she’s gotta bite her tongue, she has to come across a certain way, and people who have not been in that position look at her in a certain way.”
Lala was referring to Erika’s ongoing legal troubles spurred on by her estranged husband, Tom Girardi. Tom is currently part of a trial for wire fraud and embezzlement. His guilt is still unproven, but amid the accusations, many have alleged that Erika was involved in the criminal dealings as well. Lala defended Erika, explaining that the public has only a small picture.
Lala said, “When I was watching [RHOBH], I think it was a couple of seasons ago, I kind of understood. I was like, ’She’s catching the wrath of all these viewers, but I know what’s going on behind the scenes and she’s not given a choice.’ She still freaking shows up. She still walks around with her head held high. She’s killing it in Vegas. I just admire a strong b**ch.”
