The Golden Bachelor Episode 4 means the show has reached its halfway point. Gerry Turner is getting closer to finding love each episode. Gerry began the episode with nine women remaining, and was able to dwindle the pool down to six by the end. From an intense pickle ball match to a surprising elimination before the rose ceremony, here is everything that went down during the fourth episode of The Golden Bachelor!
Theresa and Kathy are already back at it
Theresa Nist and Kathy left the last episode off on an intense feud, and things did not take long to resume. Kathy still feels like Theresa is bragging about her connection with Gerry, but Theresa does not feel like she is doing it intentionally. Kathy even declares that Theresa needs to find “the off button.”
However, things do not stay sour for long, as Jesse Palmer arrives to announce the group date. He is joined by a special guest, Trista Sutter! Trista was the first ever lead of The Bachelorette, and she tells the women to be open to the process. The women are all excited to hear their names on the group date card, which is a shocker! Leslie Fhima is the lucky recipient of the one-on-one date, and the other women are happy for her!
Time for the Golden Bachelor Episode 4 pickle ball group date
The women are ready for their group date, which turns out to be a pickle ball tournament. A handful of the women are experienced players, and ready to impress Gerry! The Bachelor Season 28 lead Joey Graziadei joins as a guest judge, woo hoo! Kathy jokes that Joey could be her grandson, but that he would not be a bad Plan B after Gerry. Kathy is truly something else!
The tensions quickly grow as April falls down, and claims to have broken her ankle. Gerry rushes to comfort her, only for April to admit that she faked it for attention. Smart move April! The stakes for this pickle ball tournament are high, as the winning team will be featured in a pickle ball magazine.
After an intense competition, Kathy and Ellen are crowned the winners! They take a picture to celebrate their win, and Gerry is certainly impressed!
Sandra missed her daughter’s wedding?
After the pickle ball tournament, Gerry pulls Sandra aside to ask her an important question. Sandra’s daughter is actually getting married today! Sandra explains that the two agreed it was ok for Sandra to miss to go on the show. Her daughter wants her to “find her guy,” since she has found hers. Gerry surprises Sandra with a sweet FaceTime call to her daughter. Awe! In true Golden Bachelor fashion, they have a hard time working the iPhone.
Back with the women, Theresa and Kathy are at it once again. Theresa claims that her intentions are not malicious, and Kathy tells her to “zip it.” Whoa! Gerry, on the other hand, is focused on taking advice from Trista. She told Gerry not to look for a woman he can live with, but rather to look for the woman “he just cannot live without.”
Theresa steals Gerry next, and opens up about her troublesome conversation with Kathy. In response, Gerry pulls Kathy aside to get her side of things. Gerry tells Kathy that he’s beginning to see “a rift he isn’t happy about” and Kathy claims she isn’t a villain. Yikes! After a few difficult conversations, Gerry ultimately decides to give the group date rose to Sandra. Yay!
A fun one-on-one for Leslie in The Golden Bachelor Episode 4
It’s time for Leslie’s one-on-one date! Gerry pulls up in an ATV, so Leslie knows that it’s gonna be a fun day. Meanwhile, back at the mansion, the women are engaged in a game of Never Have I Ever. Lol. April reveals she has kissed another woman’s husband, and Susan seems surprised. So are we, Susan! Sandra continues the surprises by admitting she has been intimate in the workplace. Gerry has some wild women!
Leslie tells Gerry that she has been single for 22 years, much to Gerry’s surprise. The two spend the remainder of their time in a hot tub, after which Leslie gets the rose. We love her!
And now for the cocktail party and rose ceremony
The cocktail party starts off on a stressful note, with Sandra not feeling well while Nancy deals with a stress fracture from pickle ball. Susan has a good night, however, as Gerry pulls her aside in a sweet first gesture. He offers her a rose quartz, and even tells her that she reminds him of his late wife Toni. What a compliment!
Ellen tells Gerry that she is falling in love with him, and he returns the feeling! They share a romantic kiss as Gerry beams about how happy he is feeling. We love a happy Gerry! Nancy, on the other hand, is not as lucky. After talking with Gerry, the two agree that there is not much further for their connection to go. Nancy decides to go home, and Gerry says goodbye. Awe Nancy!
With only eight women remaining, it is time for Gerry’s fourth rose ceremony. He sends Kathy and April home, leaving Theresa, Leslie, Faith Martin, Sandra, Ellen, and Susan. This season is sure going by fast!
