Well, this is some happy news! Former Bachelorette star Becca Kufrin and her fiancé Thomas Jacobs are expanding their family.
Page Six reported that Becca and Thomas made the sweet announcement in an Instagram video posted to her account on April 26, 2023. In the video, Becca is holding a sonogram printout. At the end of the video, the music fades away, while a sonogram of a baby in its mother’s womb plays, accompanied by the sound of the baby’s heartbeat.
“Party of 5 [including their two dogs] coming September 2023,” Becca captioned the video. “Little Bebe, we can’t wait to meet you, hold you, and watch you grow. We already love you to the moon and back – mom & dad. #pregnanyannouncement #bebe #momanddad #pregnantnotpasta.” Awwwww!
Bachelor Nation blew up the comments section with congratulations for Becca and Thomas. Bachelorette alum Andrew Spencer said, “You guys are gunna be the best parents !! [heart emoji].”
“God bless you guys. Congratulations!” added the former Bachelor franchise host Chris Harrison. Season 19 Bachelorette co-star Rachel Recchia responded, “Oh my goodness CONGRATULATIONS,” along with a heart and a teary-eyes emoji.
Season 13 Bachelorette contestant Adam Gottschalk had the funniest reaction to the news: “Omg!! At first I was like you’re having triplets!?! . . . took me a sec to count the fur babies . . . congrats mama to be!” Adam, who is married to another Bachelor alum Raven Gates, also included the crying/laughing emoji and a heart.

After all that she’s been through, Becca deserves to be happy. We all saw her get dumped by Season 22 Bachelor Arie Luyendyk, Jr. on live TV. While on a so-called “Happy Couples” weekend, the former race car driver broke up with Becca on camera, pulling a Jason Mesnick. Admitting he still had unresolved feelings for his other finalist Lauren Burnham, Arie dumped Becca to make the switch. Arie and Lauren subsequently married and now have three children together.
Initially, the road to love wasn’t all that smooth for Thomas and Becca. The couple first met and became engaged in Mexico on Bachelor in Paradise. Sadly, they broke up during the show’s season finale — only to reunite a few months later.
They moved in together, and on May 29, 2022, Becca decided to just “do the damn thing” and proposed to Thomas. “In the ultimate plot twist…HE SAID YES!” the Minnesota native posted on her Instagram. “We’ve been keeping this secret just between us and close family & friends for a while, but [now] we’re so excited to shout it from the rooftops!”
Just a few months later, Thomas returned the favor and got down on one knee. How many proposals does this girl need? Just get married already!
Now, nearly a year following their initial engagement, the happy couple has a baby on the way. Huge congratulations to Thomas and Becca on their happy news!
