Hollywood is cooking up a new “it” couple. Page Six reported that reality star and lip kit aficionado Kylie Jenner has been spending a lot of special time with actor Timothée Chalamet! The two aren’t officially calling themselves a couple just yet. Still, there’s no way anyone had this on their 2023 bingo card.
Rumors about Kylie and Timothée’s romance originated from an anonymous Deuxmoi tip. The tipster claimed the two connected during Paris Fashion Week in January. More recently, Kylie’s car was spotted outside Timothée’s mansion, which intensified the romance rumors. The following day, they were seen on a taco date together. That sounds a lot like dating, right?
As a society, we’re not used to seeing Kylie paired up with anyone her age. We’re certainly not used to seeing her with a prestige actor. But, sources close to The Kardashians previously confirmed that Kylie and the Call Me by Your Name star are “having a lot of fun” and have “really good chemistry.”
Another insider told Entertainment Tonight that the relationship isn’t “serious,” but “Kylie is enjoying hanging out with Timothée and seeing where it goes.” In addition, the source explained that the relationship is “new and exciting” for Kylie because Timothee is so different from her past relationships.
Of course, Kylie’s first major public romance was with Tyga. Their seven-year age difference made the world cringe. Since then, she has been in an on-again-off-again relationship with Travis Scott, with whom she shares two children. Going from Mr. Astroworld to an Academy Award-nominated actor is quite the pivot.
On paper, it’s a little hard to imagine what Kylie and Timothée would have in common. They’re both young and rich, but what else? Insiders believe that Kylie and Timothée met through her big sister, Kendall Jenner. A source shared that Timothee was already friends with Kendall, which made it easy for Kylie to “integrate him into her life.”
It’s worth noting that Kylie and Timothée haven’t publicly confirmed their romance, and they haven’t been photographed together yet. Fans expected to see them together at this year’s Coachella music festival, but Kylie reportedly wasn’t ready to show off the relationship just yet. A source explained, “Kylie decided she didn’t want to make things public with Timothée this past weekend at Coachella and really just wanted to chill and have fun with her friends.”
So, at this point, it seems like Kylie and Timothée have soft-launched their romance. They’re keeping it lowkey for now. However, we’ll keep our eyes peeled for the moment he pops up on her Instagram. That will be the hard launch.
